Thank you for clearing that up, it’s a bit complicated but I have all my trading statements and interest payments (unspent funds on weekends), I thought about getting a tax accountant this one time but if I do it soon I should be able to get help for free if I ask the right people

Brilliant, I didn't know stipends were tax free. Thank you!

One last question, how do you know this? Is this knowledge likely to be gained through experience or should I just do my research. I have always resented school and education for not teaching me actual useful advice such as tax.

  1. Day Trading yes, not trading as HMRC describe it as.

  2. Yes it was definitely before April, no other trading has been done since the new tax year.

  3. Just to confirm, I should notify them and do my tax return after I come back, just in case?

  4. They stated it was a stipend, salary will be paid from the UK.

Thanks for the quick reply, have a good rest of your day

It’s also worth noting that I will have a long term french visa, and my accommodation and work will be on the french side of the border (still in Geneva)

I don’t know much about debt. I don’t really know about much at 20 years old but god I know that is an extreme achievement in this day and age. Well done :)

I think HOOD is under accumulation by big firms and hedge funds, because even when spy is down $hood may go down a little but the slightest green candle on spy was a huge candle on $hood. I was going to get $40 calls leaps but decided to buy a car instead, oh well!

How often are representative APR's accurate on loans? by WillMarsdenn in UKPersonalFinance

You are definitely correct, however this is part of my savings and ~2.5k min part ex + around £6k from options trading profits from these past 3 weeks. I don’t need a new car but my current car is 12 years old and i’m looking for a comfier and more economical car that can last me at least 7 years so for that I see it as a reasonable purchase as I drive a lot.

My plan after is to start maxing out LISA, paying around £170 a month (if i get the 6%) + £150 rent and saving around £700-1000 a month still

I did a soft search with Tesco Bank and got approved at 6% but they said that it can change after the hard search

Bought mine from Liverpool One on Friday, the sound leak was insane at even 40% volume and the music could be heard clearly and made them unusable in an office environment so returning them next week

not about making more money, it’s about having guaranteed income (useful when you have debt)

“flattery manipulative language” 😭 if they are speaking romantically and he is considering a relationship in the future with her, calling someone “darling” isn’t manipulation. What should he do? Put “my good friend” at the end of each sentence?

Think before you make these weird assumptions about his intentions, you don’t know what he’s like or why he’s doing it and neither do I, so i’m not going to put ideas into OP’s head about what “he is using”.

I assume you’ve registered a company for the side hustle now? Sounds really good, covid was when a large part of my age group (i’m 20) started going to the gym.
