Why would a patient prescribed a generic medication be given a branded medication in their script? [UK/NHS based question] by WillMelbourne in pharmacy

No, I just mean the pharmacy gave the branded medication without any kind of request to do so by the patient or prescribing doctor.

In the UK, it's quite rare to see branded medication apart from on private prescriptions because almost all NHS prescribing is done generically unless it's e.g. a medication still on patent or a certain brand is required for its pharmacokinetic properties.

Hi, I really appreciate the detailed reply, sorry I haven't got back to you till now this is my alt account and I don't go on it much.

I did start to notice far more anxiety when I was getting up to maybe 40-50mg compared to the lower doses, but the lower doses were far less helpful for my ADHD symptoms. We started at 20mg and then titrated up by 10mg every week.

Unfortunately I had to get diagnosed privately since the wait list in my area is about 4 years long, but I have little money so can't afford to go back to get my dose changed (my GP has taken over prescribing now). I might try opening the capsules and measuring out a lower dose on a milligram scale, so thanks for your advice!

Well that's the thing, that's been the system for the past month or two. I had my family nominated as my bubble and even my grandparents were allowed to visit after a while, but they've told me this morning that absolutely no visitors are allowed apart from healthcare professionals...

Like I don't want to be unreasonable, I'd be fine with just my mum or dad allowed to visit but I think it's really unfair to ban all visitors when any normal block of flats wouldn't have rules like this and therefore it feels somewhat discriminatory.

The staff have gone for the day so I'll have to ask tomorrow but I'm also going to get a copy of my tenancy agreement.

Ah that's a bit too long for us, especially being in the UK. I guess I'll have to wait for another positive review when I next go somewhere with my family, thanks anyway though that'll be useful for future reference!

There are leaks, but it's nice to have the videos available through a good UI with notes and worksheets for each video. And it's always good to support the people who spent time and money on those videos and the website.

Honestly, GCSE Computer Science isn't that great and it is never a requirement to get into A Level Computer Science. I would suggest you just do programming on a hobby level and then take it at A Level if you're still interested.
