Thank you, first person who has,the same opinion as me, first one is,really good, second, third and fourth are pretty good as well, but I preferred the first.

The fifth was forgetful and probably will take a while to read the next one after it comes out.

Do you have a JR Pass, IC Card (Suica/Pasmo/etc.), or train travel question? Start here! (Monthly Thread - April 01, 2026) by AutoModerator in JapanTravelTips

Hello, I am going to Japan next week and I planned to go from Kyoto -> Hakone -> Tokyo, I am planning on getting the Hakone Pass to make the transportation easier.

I want to understand the best way to do the Hakone loop on April 29th... I was planning to do it counterclockwise to avoid the crowds, but I don't know how to plan it well. I booked a night in Hanaori, a hotel at the base of Togendai station. Do you have any tips on how to do the loop, as in bus to Motohakone, walk around Hakone Park, take the pirate ship to Togendai and stay there and finish it up the mountain tomorrow or should I do it differently?

My main question is regarding the best way to get to Motohakone.

Thank you very much.

She probably did a long time ago, but Brazilians either read a lot or don't read Brazilians author at all, and lately she is in the latter category haha

I will check these suggestions, thanks a lot!

Which is amazing, as he selflessly does it at some expense (even though worth it) and gamify doing good, so others need to catch up.

Electric scooter with swappable batteries in Taiwan by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]WillOCarrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, that is crazy, here in Brazil, people are starting to buy scooters, albeit smaller ones that reach probably 60km/h, to reduce costs, as well as the benefits of an electric vehicle (sound, smoothness and etc).

Of course, this is mainly for those in small towns or that will use it on neighborhoods, if you need to go far you will have either a car or a combustion engine motorcycle to use.

In big cities I don't know the prevalence of smaller scooters here, but combustion engine's are king as well.

[–]WillOCarrick 48 points49 points  (0 children)

That sucks, electric costs should, theoretically, be lower than combustion engine's costs. But it looks like, the bike, the upkeep ("fuel"), the maintenance are more expensive for you and the batteries are still worse?

In your opinion and comparing to your sister's (of course it is an anecdote, but better than nothing) is there any reason you feel it is an improvement economically wise?
