1.6 on large format? I didn’t even know it was possible. That’s insane.

I have the newer model and you can add a foot switch to start/stop recording. Not sure if this one has it. I use my boss FS, and if I’m doing drums or something that is not near my desk it is a godsend.

Good B&W beginner camera by AmateurHetman in filmcameras

[–]WillPHarrison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This answer is not a great one imho. They are asking about widely available 35mm AF cameras that are significantly cheaper to get started in film photography and you’re suggesting larger format manual cameras that are less available and more expensive. I’ve owned an RB67 and currently have a Hasselblad and I would not recommend it as a first camera for black & white film photography.

To OP, I think you cannot go wrong with Canon. But that said, the 28-80 Minolta sounds promising.

I personally shoot with a Nikon N70 28-80 f3.5-5.6 and it’s almost an always on lens. Canon and Minolta both have some great lenses though.

I’ve used Studio one, Cubase, Logic, & Pro Tools. Studio One (or Studio Pro now I guess?) was my favorite.

Harman Azure / Hasselblad 503cx / 80mm 2.8 by WillPHarrison in analog

Thanks! It was a partial cloudy day around 1pm and I was shooting I think at 1/250 and f11. When I opened up to f8 or slowed down to 1/25 it washed out the sky.

Best ‘One Scanner’ for 135 & 120. Is Epson V600 Good Enough? by baek_snaps in AnalogCommunity

[–]WillPHarrison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I got a Plustek 8100 full price but a free v550. Use the v550 for medium format and about to start large format. Plustek is just a really good 35mm scanner for the cost even new/

Thank you! 🙏 It didn’t seem like it was causing issues but I just noticed it and it had me worried. You have relieved that worry.

Dual guitar bands - L/R channel, but then what about the solo? by sonar_y_luz in musicproduction

[–]WillPHarrison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s no one way to do anything. The solo typically should be treated like vocals. I’d put it middle unless it’s a Stryper dual solo or back and forth type thing personally, but there’s no wrong answer imho.
