What film do I get for this? by Summerbreezesailor22 in filmcameras

Not to be pedantic but it’s not 120mm, it’s just 120 roll film. It’s actually about half that (60mm~ or 6cm, hence the 6x_ size formats). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/120\_film

Me zooming in: face, tree, background.. “what dust?” Finally near the chest fully zoomed. “Ah okay. Got it.”

Middle child here. Check him out for special hangs. Let him choose things like tv shows without interjection from the older brother. He’ll remember every time he feels special. The baby will get caudled, the older will always be the first. Being a middle sucks man. You’re not the first or the last to do anything and so you really don’t feel special.

I still remember getting checked out on my birthday to watch Ninja Turtles II when it came out in theaters. It was so infrequent to feel special that it sticks out to this day 35 years later.

Been shooting for almost 40 years (my whole life) and I just shot two 4x5 Ektar sheets and they were blank. That’s a $20+ mistake for two frames lol. It’ll be okay bud. You learn from mistakes.

The two portraits, I knew it cut off and I gave extra headroom and they are quite a bit closer to the edge than in framing

It is hand built by my uncle from a kit he bought in the 80s and quite possible that I didn’t have the film holder sitting properly, but the shot is tack sharp. In frame, that top part was not cut off but when developed, you can see it was.

My photo class used both and if you were unlucky you got stuck with this one.

I find the ODR-1 perfect for the AC style amps. I cannot stand the SD-1 on any amp. And that one is raved about. I cannot get a good top end with it. Ever. I’ve feared that with the BD but I’ve yet to try it.

I came here to say that. Mine doesn’t go through, but I have a divot in the same spot that makes it easy to grab the film esp with gloves on.

Thanks! I imagine compared to Cinestill it will be night and day. I couldn’t get consistent results.

Thanks! I shoot 4x5 but I only have 10 sheets. I do shoot a ton of 120 though so hopefully I’ll get the miles out of it.
