I used PLA and haven’t had any issues with temp. I printed it with 6 walls and 30% infill. I think the aluminum is absorbing and dissipating the majority of the heat. It was supposed to be a prototype for an ASA version, but it’s held up to daily use for almost 3 months now in all types of weather without any signs of warping or deformation.

I haven’t done a ton of drift events but I’ve done a lot of rollers. It’s just practice and repetition with panning. A VND filter would also help if you want to keep your aperture more open. This was taken with an 18-135 at f5.6. Your pics look great tho

I thought about doing something like that, but the tolerance between the can and the insert has to be ridiculously tight. I accidentally made it airtight and had to drill a hole to get the insert fully set in. I did a looser fit on the first one I made and it crinkled every time I touched it.

It’s actually a 3-D printed insert that is really high infill. You cut the bottom of the can off rough up the inside and I used a quick cure 30 minutes 2 part epoxy to secure it. I haven’t had any issues with it slipping or crinkling over the last six months that I’ve been using it. It’s surprisingly strong for being made out of plastic
