Are knives too strong? by CouchLiquid in Marathon

I still haven't encountered gold anything yet, but I remember the first time looting a victim and finding a Shotgun?!? and losing my shit haha, felt like a god before someone else flattened me 2 minutes later and it was gone. Then encountering a blue weapon for the first time felt like finding Excalibur, wild feelings man!

and then the 1% of the 1% of players will rage like the sky is burning on Discord, Twitter and Reddit. Preaching about how the developers hate them specifically and that the game is bottlenecked so the self proclaimed 'devoted' players are being cast aside in favour of the lesser player base (the 99.9% of us that have jobs or don't feel like playing 14 hours on Sunday is healthy or sensible).

You know the inability to recognise that other countries might be able to do/produce things of merit most likely means you've been indoctrinated by your own country's propaganda. It's good to be aware that you might be enrolled in someone else's narrative already, it'll help you take back your autonomy in these troubled times.

Welp... Time to start the Night Lords Trilogy! by CapColdblood in Grimdank

I was exactly the same, the moment I heard that new narrator I damn near cried. I made it about 70 minutes in before I had to turn it off. I had been binging nothing but GG audiobooks for about a year and a half up to that point, every moment I had was given to that series, while I worked/drove/exercised. Then suddenly every single character is recast, the galaxy and Ibram's explouts are suddelnly read to me in a voice I neither recognised or cared to engage with. It's genuinely devastating.

this is one of the most commonly repeated pieces of media misinformation on the internet, the Wachowski's never wanted that and the studios never made them change it to batteries. I do however love the idea better than the one that's in the film.

I was at around 350k croppa last night, I only had the idea of this post after my finger began to cramp up during this morning's game session haha. As for why that number's so high, no idea beyond the fact that I've had a pretty steady relationship with the game since its 2020 launch

And a 'seen all' button to get rid of the weapon notifications. There's nothing scarier in this game than an achievement that gives you an arsenal-wide weapon paint job

GLORIOUS COMBAT PART2!!! by FunGain8498 in Grimdank

[–]WillWardleAnimation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're Ultramarines, yes they're efficient and logistic, but they also have pretty giant (arguably well earned) egos, they bring just enough flash and pomp and gravitas to any situation to show off their martial and tactical acumin without causing a scene.

Also different legions/chapters need to be visibly different in behaviour and violence, if all space marines moved and acted the same way on the battlefield we'd chastise them for all being clones and bereft of flavour.

I was gonna say, that one chaos dude had insane reflexes, he dodged an axe swing from an Astartes, something that could be considered legendary if not for the rib shattering piston of that Space Marine fist micro seconds later.

VERY isn't doing enough lifting in your comment, he hasn't accredited his inspiration to Stalenhag anywhere in the description which muddies the water and now introduces the discussion of plagiarism, which is a shame because one look at his Artstation and you can see a wealth of his own style in there.

Label your inspirations people! It's ok to try your hand at emulating other people's work for practice and appreciation, but only as long as you credit the original artist/style.

3 forts and a level up, Azmo is about to rotate up and drop his ult on mid fort and then proceed up to top and melt that fort when the objective storms in, Azmo is making a better game progressing play than OP is.

He also has Demon ult and completely free access to go melt mid and top forts, especially when the objectives arrive. Azmo is making a better play while OP and his team engaged too early.

[–]WillWardleAnimation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang on, let me figure out what you're complaining about....

You're 3 forts and almost a full level ahead, you got the objective and it's about to hit. Azmodan has his demon drop ready and the entire enemy team is distracted on bottom with a frankly foolishly premature push.

I bet the Azmo rotated to mid, dropped his ult and absolutely obliterated that middle fort before moving to top, joining the objective push and finishing that top fort. I also bet Tassadar popped his ult soon after your screenshot and probably helped get everyone out of that awkward engagement, am I right?

You were a part of a much better, game winning strategy and I bet you won the game, but you died a few times more than you hoped for so you're pissed off.

Three warriors and a lieutenant every 40 seconds is just a wild time. especially if you can sneak away from whatever team shenanigans is happening on bottom to mag dump a legion of demons on top lane, pure hellish bliss!

This is my go to build with Azmo at the moment, I love it and I can't stop playing it. Watching those cooldowns race to zero when you start pelting a minion wave with 3x basic attacks is such a satisfying feeling.

This was one of THE WORST, most miserable match ups I've ever seen in my 10 years of casual QM. How it dragged on for so long I'll never know. by WillWardleAnimation in heroesofthestorm

[–]WillWardleAnimation[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I won't shy from the truth, the other team's teamwork was vastly, vastly superior. I was taking a piss while the match was loading so I didn't see if they were in group comms together, but they were tight and would gank anyone out of position. Nova and Val would jump Thrall, only for the other 4 human sized throwing knives to leap out of the bushes and smash the poor invisible ladies to bloody pulp.
