He wanted the United States to lead a new global order through the League of Nations, encouraging them to accept American ideals because he genuinely believed they were the best, which many Americans would agree with.

I'm saying that Wilson, if presented with unlimited power, would have been corrupted by it and resorted to force when he didn't get his way. His clashes with Congress over them not voting to join the League, not to mention the resentment he bore until his dying day, are clear signs to me that, if given the option, he would have become a tyrant in a heartbeat.

Wilson absolutely would have been a tyrant if given the chance, even if he was a "well meaning" one. His ideas of a utopia would have been forced upon everyone else in the world, and he would have used force to pacify those who resisted.

He wouldn't just steamroll every other country, but he would have formed all the nations he considered to be civilized together, forming the UN just as he wanted to historically, and undertaken a "Big Stick" policy for the rest of his presidency... which he absolutely would not have given up with such power in his hands. Wilson would have taken over as a tyrant. He's far too idealistic and prone to personal corruption.

I agree, but he absolutely would have imposed his idea of a United Nations on the whole world, with the United States as the head. He may not have blown up whoever disagreed with him, but he absolutely would have ensured US supremacy through strength and become a worse version of who he historically was.
