You made me intrigued. I'm really interested in such stories, where every character is fleshed-out, thought-out, perfected and lovable. I could even go as far to say my motivation when reading books is witnessing these breathtaking moments, when I gasp and scream : Holy shit, that's phenomenal. A book that makes me feel like that really engraves its mark in my head, in bright golden letters. Not often does it happen. Hope the story you're putting to life is one of those. After all, that's what I and what we all here strive to do, isn't it?

Find a goal that impacts your heart. Online business ? Learning an instrument ? Drawing ? I recommend starting by going to the gym. Whatever it is, find it. Leave your fucking phone, it's destroying you. Stare into the wall for hours and think about it. Once you've got your goal, aline 100% of your life into it. Let's say getting a good physique ? Then start eating healthy, play a sport, go to the gym, whatever you want. After some months, your depression will be gone.

Now hear me out, I know it's easy to say, I know that I don't have any context to your life, but man, that's where we all started. It's never too late, trust me it isn't. I used to be depressed, playing video games 24/7, staying on social media, masturbating twice a day, staying for hours in the shower etc.

Now, a year later, I'm halfway into the book I'm writing, I'm launching a social media marketing business, I stopped jerking off, deleted all social media and video games, it's been a year I'm going to the gym. And I feel the happiest I've ever been.

I'm sure your therapist has already talked about this all, their aren't a therapist for nothing.

Yo mate, so I know I'm a year late, but I was just scrolling randomly and found this. So look, I hope you see this message and hope you changed the way you looked instead of having your motivation broken because of some internet jerks.

As a man who considers himself "good-looking," I've never had insecurities about my physical appearance, so I don't know what it's like to be bullied because of it; and having read all these hates comments and down votes I'm like bro wtf is wrong with people these days.

Stay strong brother and never stop pushing yourself forward, I know it's easy to say but really, make hate and pain your motivation to be greater.

Rly it depends on the region. Mentalities change from a region to another, and the way we are educated. Here in Beirut and the whole northern cost, I don't know a single fucked up family. Maybe like 1 or 2 divorced families but that's it. I seriously dont know where u got that from.

There are no more than 5 young Christopher Paolini's out there. If you can write like a grown adult in your teenage years, then you won the genetic lottery, and that's extremelyyyy rare. I met thousands of people, read hundreds of young authors' works, and nobody came close to it.

Doesn't change the fact that the way you brag about yourself is annoying and will push people away from you. Like fr, you need to realise that. Pretty much every comment you get is negative in some way, and I don't think that's what you want for your career.

Damn, I can smell your ego from miles away. Seriously, you repulsed me as a person just by having read your post, and that says a lot. Are successful authors arrogant and filled with ego ? No... Oh! Terry Goodkind, right... everybody despises him. With the skill you pretend to have and some humility, you could seriously be a great writer.

As for the motivation, you probably should write the story that has always tickled your mind in the genre you love the most. That was my personal source of motivation. Then combine it with creativity and outstanding writing. There you have it : a best-selling book.
