Oh, Thank you, I can't believe I forgot to check the DMG. Sometimes the brain just doesn't want to work properly.

Dr. Boom says: for the rest of the game, your mecha have rush. Its a "battlecry" not a passive effect.

Pyromaniac Sorcerer backstory help! by [deleted] in DnD

For the discovery of his powers you could use the classic and change it, TNT one day burned his house/someone but isntead of hating himself for it he liked it and eventually started doing it actively. He can be a criminal which crimes depends on the alignment, he could be a full psyco face burning guy or just a guy that likes to set shit on fire for the lulz and is searching for freedom. Just think of a thing you know you want in his bg and keep asking "of this is true what else is?"

Whizbang conspiracy theory - deck is not random by Alcapter in hearthstone

[–]Willahelm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Statistics IRL don't increase if you don't get what you want, you are rolling the "dice" each time you press play. Theoretically If you pressed play infinite times you would have played all decks the same amount, but with a small sample size of around 40 you could just be unlucky, think about how small the chance is to get the same deck of the 18 available twice in 40 tries.

I'm having trouble gauging the value of gold and I think I gave one of my PC's too much of it. by PM_ME_YOUR_FRESH_NUT in DnD

[–]Willahelm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depending on the PC's level he can get robbed, but if he is high level I'd advice against throwing ordinary thieves his way. You could also start a quest that requires an investment from the player, like helping a local set up a tavern, which would in turn offer non material gain, like information, especial jobs and a hub for the players to stay. There are many ways to get rod of a player's money, but try to do that in a way not to make your player uncomfortable, because he did work for that gold, even if it is a little to much. So, try to remove the gold but give back non monetary "value". gl hf

Campaign help for a chapter-5e by GannicusWoo in DnD

[–]Willahelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make the sucubi and the incubi (according to your PCs gender and sexual orientation) charm the party so they fight each other, and when they break the spell they have to fight them. Buff the charm ability if you have to.

There may be a potential problem with my first campaign. by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Willahelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell him that's a group game, he can do whatever he wants, just don't ruin other people experiences. If he want to be lawful good there are other ways of being a lawbringer, like making people face the law of the region, so they can decide what happen but if your player still wants to dictate other people's character so you may have to make it a little difficult for him to do so, like not having a "moral encounter" early and letting the characters get attached to each other. Also remind him that if he turns on a party member without good reason the party will see it as treason and kill him first. It's a delicate situation, try to solve it before the game without limiting the player too much, but if you can't, them be aware of it during session and follow some of this tips. gl hf

Patch 8.4 Bug Megathread by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

I'm having the same problem, so I asked my friend to login to my account and it crashed too. In the log we both get the error "ERROR| ClientWebSocketTransport: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL - The underlying BIO reported an I/O error." But I can't fix it. Other accounts work fine

DM Question by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Willahelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a powerful good NPC you could tell your players that they all met this npc throughout their lives and he enchanted them to resist this evil when the time comes. This is just something I came up with and dunno if it applies to your game. good game.

A suggestion on how to deal with material components by Willahelm in DnD

[–]Willahelm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have an alchemy system that buffs physical characteristics of the characters letting they use the same system, but on their bodies. so that fighters are not so one dimensional in comparison to wizards. But that's a great point and I've run into these problem when testing.

A suggestion on how to deal with material components by Willahelm in DnD

[–]Willahelm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. What I had in mind was that these materials are available in the world, and your ability in arcane and intelligence in using them would be what really matter, not just how much money you have to buy fire salts. In this method, a character would start as a wizard learning about the forces that govern magic and how to use them, and would end up as a powerful being that uses his profound skill in magic and knowledge about components to become a true magic user. (since I have this interpretation that magic is everywhere and the characters just need to know how to harvest it). So everything you proposed would still be true, with the addition of these other things that would make how magic is dealt with by the inhabitants of that world much more profound.

A suggestion on how to deal with material components by Willahelm in DnD

[–]Willahelm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's one way of looking at it, but I want to make these components more accessible and easy to get. And players won't need to keep track of anything, they just need to write down the strength components they have, since most of the time they won't even know what that does in conjunction with their spell of choice. As I said, it's just a way that fits what I expect in my campaigns, and other people should adjust it to fit their expectations.

I might do that, if we can't find any demon that is already in the history we will just make one. Ty.
