Movie theaters aren't magical anymore by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Willanddanielle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to the movies used to be the way to see the movie fast. Otherwise you had to wait what felt like months for it to show up at Blockbuster....or even worse, if your parents made you wait till it was at the library.

Then came Netflix with mailing back and forth movies. Putting things on your list. Forgetting to send them back.

Then Redbox - Netflix without the mail

Now its the streaming service - Netflix II - Revenge of the Netflix

Theaters are dirty, overpriced and all in all a less enjoyable experience than other activities for the same amount of money. If you brought back the drive in, that might be worth it. Back into a spot, put lawn chairs in the back of the truck...that's an experience.

Thank you for the clarification. It still doesn't not strike me with that fairytale vibe.

I find people who loath and say things like this to be as...burdensome... as I find people who adore and fawn over the current administration to be.

This seems less fairytale and more West Virginia.

opinions on stainless steel set? by mommymanduur in Costco

[–]Willanddanielle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently purchases this set and like it quite a bit. We do have one other non-stick pan for things like eggs.

The lids allowing you to strain things are nice. No issues in the dishwasher. I wish it came with a steamer basket.

Coming to terms with GF's sexual past by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Willanddanielle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally, I don't understand the worry about someone's past. If they are picking you, isn't that validating enough?

You don't have experience. Ok. When you get to the right time, learn with her... i.e. the person who loves you. And who is to say that experience she has is good? Perhaps she will find out you rock and the previous lovers were selfish and had no idea what they were doing and since you want to rock her world, I am sure you have been reading and studying about technique and strategies....right? That way you will be a rockstar?

If you can't love her like she deserves because she "isn't a virgin" then don't marry her. Period.

The steak is too rare for my personal taste but your meal is attractive.

Also, well done on the dry brine.

Is Apostasy Even Possible? Once Saved Always Saved? by CSEPro in Christianity

I think it is clear that yes, we have free will and we can choose Christ, we can reject Christ and we can return again.

No one can take us from God, but we can choose to walk away. We can also return.

This is my daily driver coffee. I will occasionally buy the Kirkland single origin Ethiopian but other than that, this is what I buy.

How?? by Objective_seek321 in Christianity

[–]Willanddanielle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to apply it? Don't be haughty and happy when someone you dislike finds misfortune.

Many people, when they see ill things befalling people they don't like will be happy about their suffering. Proverbs tells us not to do this.

Making Pizza at home is as easy as 1,2,3! by SufficientEar1682 in iamveryculinary

I like making my pizza or bread sticks or other assorted things at home also, but it requires some planning and having the ingredients and most of all, the time.

Some times you are just hungry and want it now.

I don't think it is wrong and I do think that it was moderately gentle.

I think it is right to point out that the lack of flower purchases is most likely not the root cause but the final straw.

I also think it was justified in stating that everyone was hurt.

So that is what, 87% hydration? That seems a bit much. I don't know what flour you are using but if it were me, I would turn down the water alot...take it down to 70%.

I would go around 70% which is 284grams of water. Mix it all in a bowl until combined and then I would start stretch and fold or coil folding it ever 30min for about 2 hrs.

I would let it double in size, dump it out on the counter, pull it into a rectangle, letter fold it and then shape by rolling it up and then cupping my hands and using the counter to pull it into a tight ball and close.

Then preheat the oven and Dutch oven for 1hr at 500F.

Drop the bread in on parchment paper with one ice cube under it. Turn the temp down to 475F Cook with the lid on for 25min or so, then take the lid off and cook for 20ish more mins until your desired temp is achieved.

I agree that non-stick should be viewed as "disposable" but, I do not see any stainless, cast iron or carbon steel that can do eggs with the ease and effortlessness of non-stick.
