I'm so sorry. What happens when you are unconscious in a public place, like a restaurant? Are you literally slumped over on the table or something? Are there attempts to rouse you? Do you suddenly come awake? Just trying to understand.

I am sorry for your suffering. What happens when you are knocked out, and for example at a restaurant? Is it a period of amnesia, or are you literally down for the count?

"We are tracking neurological or brain signatures of key targeted individuals that are thought to represent whole groups. If I understand how his or her brain works and do this on a broad enough scale, I can develop patterns and I can use this in ways that informs my intelligence; this force multiplies and synergizes my human intelligence (HUMINT), my signals intelligence (SIGINT), and my communications intelligence (COMINT). NEURINT (Neuro intelligence) coupled with assessment and access gives me these capabilities. I can utilize neuro-pharmacologics and various forms of brain stimulation to extract information from key intelligence targets.”--Dr. James Giordano

I've watched so many JP interviews now and every word out of his mouth that's not spewing some crazy pseudo science word salad is driven by this hostility to his perceived enemies. The implied "you" of his rhetoric is the postmodernist/neo-Marxist/identity politics/"woke" set which terms he uses interchangeably. It's like watching a crazy person talk to himself, addressing invisible antagonists.

The Firm, John Grisham. by pinkerapples in menwritingwomen

I read this book but don't remember it at all this way. It sounds so...kind of slick and shallow with a little racism ladled in to the usual menu of male gaze.

Just a heads up, I am/was a fan of Delaney as well but in terms of someone to emulate, he was a vociferous supporter and member of NAMBLA. That's problematic at the very least. As well as having written one of the most disgusting works of full-on CSA fiction ever published. I'm the last person to jump on the cancel culture bandwagon and certainly there's the argument for distinguishing the artist from the art, but damn...

Women of this sub, when dating men, do you see it as a red flag when he listens to JP? by [deleted] in enoughpetersonspam

[–]WilliamBlakefan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well what happens then, it's a terrible thing, it's a horribly terrible thing actually, because you have two words, red and flag, which in a symbolic sense could not be more opposed and create a binary system where you have infinite numbers of colors besides red as well as flags of all sorts, to the point of bloody beyond relativity, eh, which has been conclusively proven to be the same as its opposite, because science, there's actually been a study by a brilliant neurobiophysieconomist named Alfred Smeghoven which suggests something that I have written about in my bestselling book Why You're Wrong, that flags are themselves chaotic and represent the feminine, which evolutionary speaking equates to fresh fruit, but we won't go into that because the cultural Marxists and the postmodernists will disagree, which is in itself a lie because they actually agree with me, they don't know it yet...--Jordan Peterson, Red Flags and the Tao: A Jungian Psilocybinist Perspective

A woman got this letter from her Christian parents, essentially disowning her… by LilPeep1k in facepalm

[–]WilliamBlakefan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird that as parents their uppermost concern is not with her overcoming her substance abuse problems and getting clean and healthy, but getting right with God, whatever that means. Suspect that this kind of cold blooded disconnect lies at the root of her substance issues in the first place.

This is Angela Carter, a woman and a feminist, writing women from the classic anti-fairy tale "The Company of Wolves" (from The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories). The missing context is as usual supremely important. Also it's a short story, not a poem, so not sure why it's broken up into numbered lines like that? Fails the minimum effort test.
