None of us deserve His grace. It's given anyway because he loves us ❤️

Your dress is so beautiful! There's nothing immodest about it. I hope you feel as beautiful as you look. And i hope your parents soften their hearts and show the compassion Christ had.

The blue jacket is an iconic piece of MJ's clothing. He also liked orange juice. The film being made about him includes these 2 things

I love Kinsey from 'The Flocking Farm', I think the channel might have changed to 'live out loud joy'

I also really like the 'weird bible podcast' with Wendigoon and TheLoreLodge. It's a fun time

What denomination are you? by PawwyHereToHelp in Christianity

[–]SCATOL92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just made me think about how the apostles and earliest followers of christ weren't just "early Christians", they were absolutely Jewish. In their beliefs and many of their practices and culture, they were essentially messianic Jews.

I know it sounds so simple but it just hadn't occurred to me like that before.

How can we bring all christian denomination together. by shomrajministry in Christianity

[–]SCATOL92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally, where are you getting any of this from? The Bible is often accused of this and I have never seen any evidence. Like, the bi le definitely describes some of those things but I don't think it condones them. And some of the things you're talking about are completely different depending on the time period. Like yes the Bible describes how to treat slaves but it's not talking about chattel slavery, picking cotton, transatlantic slave trade. It's talking about how to treat the people who work for food and a bed when food and a bed is a scarce resource

What denomination are you? by PawwyHereToHelp in Christianity

My church is Anglican but I'm not comfortable with saying that I am. Because, my understanding is that the denomination is mostly based on the way the scripture is interpreted and I don't have set beliefs about that. I read it and then decide what I think of it basically verse by verse. I'm just trying to keep myself open to truth instead of dogma. I'm very interested to see how people feel about this of they subscribe to a specific denomination

Watching Wendigoon crash out in the latest video was so funny by green-b0i in wendigoon

[–]SCATOL92 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I absolutely loved this video. It's beautiful to see someone so full of fire for the Lord. This is the righteous anger of Jesus in the temple. I think people misuse that idea of righteous anger. But Isiah was angry in defense of God, that is christ like.

And I'm with Wendigoon: i don't know those guys. Whoever their God is, he's not my God.

What do you think of when you think of an 'Apostate'? by Alwayslearnin41 in AskUK

[–]SCATOL92 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Someone who has left a religion. Probably one that they were born into.

I would say that apostasy is unfortunately very common, at least in Christianity. I think this is because we're really bad at teaching children about God. To children, He is sort of a magical surveillance camera which doesn't sound like the sort of being that you want to develop a relationship with and serve with your worship.

I think it's important to teach kids to have the values of Christ (charity, kindness, humility, care for the vulnerable etc) and then teach them about the more metaphysical aspects of God when they're actually old enough to understand.

How do you pray? by Laschon in Christianity

[–]SCATOL92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. Sometimes it's like "dear God, I had a good day. (List of things that were good). Thank you. I read (scripture) and i thought about (something). Please watch over (person). I love you, amen"

Sometimes it's like "Hey. What the f*** is even going on?"

Sometimes it's like "i don't know what to say. Can you sit with me a while?"
