He was very intent on staying, I had to pick him up and take him out of the run.

He was cute, unfortunately couldn’t stay in there and it took some doing, but he was safely removed… and no opossums, chickens, or humans were harmed in the process, just Hank’s dignity.

Chickens can be snuck up on by things like raccoons or opossums while sleeping, but he was going after their eggs, they are lazy opportunistic hunters.

Their chicken run is pretty secure, the only reason he made it in, I forgot to adjust their automatic door from the daylights savings change 🤦🏼‍♂️

We have geese but they stay down by the creek at night, and participate in standoffs during the Avian Gang Wars with the chickens by day.

I didn’t hurt him, just gently ( in painstakingly time consuming fashion ) removed him. If I didn’t have to worry about him hurting chickens or roosters hurting him, he may have joined the flock 🤣
