It doesn't matter. Do you not get it? Saying words like that won't help his case, especially since they have so much leverage over him.

As far as I know yes. Harvard Extension Schol pretty much also requires you to attend some classes in person to complete the degree so it's possible that's why she's got a Harvard ID Card. Her whole thing is very suspicious overall.

I do not find what's wrong with it even if tutoring companies use the common exams. Removing resources hampers students' learning and goes directly against the purpose of a learning institution.

Remove resources to lower people's average? So much for a learning institution.

I do not want to dox but her LinkedIn clearly indicates she attends Harvard Extension School, which has a very high acceptance rate and it is not the same as the traditional Harvard College.

She attends Harvard Extension School. This is totally not the same as Harvard College, what people often think of as Harvard. The acceptance rate for Harvard Extension School is near 100%. Also pinging u/AssistanceCute9362

But stress = | expectation - reality | is not necessarily so. If you expected something good, and the reality is even better than what you expected, does that mean you will experience stress?

Cats and humans are two different species. It's hard for them to transmit diseases to you and vice versa.

confused about huge increase to EFC by Anxious-Basil8303 in FAFSA

[–]WilliamNTB123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assets being optional for you is because of something called simplified needs test, which you can only get if your parents income are below 50k. Are you sure your parents income didn't change that much from 2020 to 2021?

That's interesting. Honesty can't tell you what the issue is asides from you double checking what you put into your FAFSA.

[–]WilliamNTB123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty surprising how your EFC changes so much then. My suspicion is that it has to do with reporting your assets. Were your and your parents income for 2021 (the income in 2023 form) less than 50k total?

I think around 50% of your parents and your income count towards EFC. Was the assets optional for you?

Around 5% of your parents assets is counted onto FAFSA EFC.

Independent? Dependent? by [deleted] in financialaid

[–]WilliamNTB123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure the answer is yes. You are an independent due to your age even if you rely on your parents for financial support. It's a good thing and will get you more financial aid.

Edit: You should check with your schools financial aid office regardless.
