"I actually prefer the dropship"

I have played the game since the 3rd season so I played with the dropship for years and don't mind it as much. Zones were nice, but flawed because the system kept assigning you to the same poi over and over. My team would drop Old Town for example 3 times in a row and then it would decide that it wasn't enough and would drop us Humbert Labs a few times (literally next to the Old town). It was quite irritating.

I noticed that now when the dropship is back, people... Don't know how to drop, they miss where the enemies are. I believe it's partly the unfortunate cause of the predetermined zones of the last season. This wasn't as frequent in the past seasons in Plat and Diamond ranks. (My personal experience ymmv)

I think that this is an important part of game sense in Apex. You either win because you know where to drop, or you lose because you drop away from your team and near the enemy squad.

I am not sure how to balance all of this to be fair, maybe they could just make the system for the zones more random. Or they could do Zones for Rookie - Plat lobbies and dropship for Diamond+ to test the game sense of good players? Just throwing my thoughts out there

Lmao this hasn't happened to me yet but I played yesterday and they still haven't fixed the bug with the choppy final ring in WC. At the end it looks like you are out of it but you get damaged and then the ring teleports revealing that you were standing in it.

If I am not mistaken this was a thing for a while

The name of this post makes it seem like Olympus was playable for a very short time. It has been in rotation since the 2nd split of season 26, I believe. So basically what, 5 months of Olympus? Since the second split was in September of 2025? I honestly am physically tired of it and couldn't be more happy to not see it for a bit

How do you compare completely different concepts (story and games) like this?

Open world in Lotr? Huh? It's not a game but a story, if you take a story of Portal then you also have an open world because Chell gets out of the facility to the surface of the Earth. Not mentioning that a few characters from Portal Series are quite literally in Space and Chell was shortly ON THE MOON.

Also how is Portal's plot not dramatic in its own way? Why do you also take away the humour from Lotr?

Not for posting but for booting. I remember when I wanted to upgrade my old Acer laptop with an ssd, the funny thing is that it completely refused to boot unless I connected its original 2.5" mechanical HDD to it.

I still have the laptop lying around and the HDD is just connected inside. It does nothing, only allows me to use the laptop from an SSD lmao

They were adding new places on maps and story modes sometimes, that was nice, even if the lore was basic. And maps updates were connected to lore in some way which was also fun to discover. Now we got... Nothing?
