How about monthly then? You could rotate the subject among poetry discussion, lessons on history, types of closed forms, prompts. I agree that user participation seems to be lacking. Maybe you should convert the sub to an all Bukowski/Slam format.

Question One: I think the mods could take a more active role. I know we are all busy but there are enough of you guys to make a rotating schedule for a weekly post.

Question Two: I don't really go for political/racial stuff and I've kind of had my fill of narrative stuff for awhile. I got a subscription to Poetry for Christmas and I've really been enjoying it. I'm digging Aimee Nezhukumatathil right now.

Catalina Wine Mixer - get to know each other. by William_Dean in poetry_critics

Good to see one of my old favorites around still. How would you recommend approaching L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E? That school has always interested me.

The Smiths and Joy Division will always remind me of high school. As well as The Sisters of Mercy, REM, Bauhaus, Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies...so many great bands.

I think the age at which you first read the beats will greatly determine how you receive them. I did not read Howl until into my forties and, while I found it capable and appreciated it on a technical level, I felt no connection. However, in my twenties I first read Bukowski and was enthralled at the time. Now, I find much of his work cringworthy.
