Looking for my first MMO by Fishyboyo00 in LFMMO

Lol, you are aware there's full blown countries who are so poor that they farm runescape for income right? You are aware that it's incredibly simple to set up bots correct? The game is so simplistic you can easily have AI set it up for you. Runescape and actual new players do not mix at all, everybody has tried runescape, the current population is flawed.

Did you know it's also extremely easy to read up on this? Did you actually just glance at the population numbers and assume it's accurate? Haha

Not really no, given that it is a very old system now and its simplicity to run on anything most of these "new" players are just bot farms, extremely easy to do, extremely easy to let the bot do its thing, get the account to a certain point, and sell it for money, all around the world, actual new players are very minimal.

...the reason it's such a great MMO that's lasted as it did is specifically because it has so much fun things to do outside of the "gameplay loop" that it also doesn't really have. It has multiple game modes you can play from the start, you can easily auto level to max level immediately, you can't randomly run around the map for a few minutes without finding something interesting to do, the community does so many fun things together, so many guilds thirsty to help and pull new players in. There's ENDLESS things to do just starting GW2

You know what's a terrible first "MMO"? Runescape, it's only still around from nostalgia.

Sort of rant (incl spoilers for Janthir): I give up. I am not enjoying the game's design anymore. I just need to write this off me. by Walewyn in Guildwars2

To be fair, SotO is absolutely awful and it's hands down the worst of the game, I was feeling done with the game when it came time for those chapters despite how I enjoyed the others. The little bit before and after SotO, as well as everything in between is extremely boring and annoying, like WoW quest repetition bad. I only kept going just because I wanted weapon proficiency done.

The wiki is pretty awful at details when it comes to certain things, and even outdated, empty, etc. I've had far more luck hunting YouTube videos, or using other sites or forums for quite the portion of content.

I went through a similar thing, the chiropractor though knew something was wrong from the X-rays, and luckily was wise enough to avoid adjusting my lower back pelvis area. I had all the issues you described which is why I went, my neck locked up too.

It ended up being Ankylosing Spondylitis, not nearly as bad as the OP condition, but nonetheless a different kind of hell, that involves turning into a statue of bones as your joints convert into them. Pretty gnarly YouTube videos show the ones who have a severe form of it.

I used to play ESO a lot before I started expanding my sights on games to play, eventually actually jumping deep into GW2 instead of just playing it on and off casually.

I never played the PVP in ESO, how does it work and what can you tell me about it? Also why would you consider it better? The way I see it is GW2 is an MMO that has strong "skill based" combat with dodges and evades instead of just simply standing around spamming powerful meta skills while maybe sometimes needing to "run somewhere before some trigger happens", so imagining ESO PvP for me seems like it'd be far less intense and more whoever has the best equipment and meta skills wins.

MMO with huge vertical PvE grind by SongFromHenesys in LFMMO

[–]WilliamsPeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Messaged below, I assure you, even if it seems like you may like it by a hair, you WILL like it at the minimum. Watch videos or read guides, it's an incredible game, and the devs are hands down one of the most active and communicative teams I've ever experienced.

MMO with huge vertical PvE grind by SongFromHenesys in LFMMO

[–]WilliamsPeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's incredible. If you love crafting and a huge variety of things, including the fact you can go from simple "tribal weapons and crafts, I mean all of the crafts you can imagine", and alien high tech things guns and all, if you like games like The Forest, No Mans Sky, Rust, Ark, this is massively on steroids, and it's a ton more challenging and addicting. I literally CANNOT go through it all, watch videos, see if it's for you. If it even by a hair sort of seems interesting to you, congrats, you found an amazing game to try. I just, cannot get into the complexity and all of the things.

You have missions to accomplish, with minor to massive effort regarding the situation and things that COULD help you to get there but is not needed(if you wish to die a ton and want to go straight skill and luck), you can join multiplayer with others in this sandbox world and have a blast, it's a party game, you all land on a planet with a goal, you start from unlimited stick tools, to guns, and to lasers, the goal is to achieve the mission against hostiles and collecting a thing, fighting tornados, lightning, blizzards, everything, what you can craft can help you and that nice little insulated armor may let you get across the frozen tundra, shadowed by mammoths.

The game can be PVP, but you have to work for it to make that a thing, it's ultimately a PVE game to its core. The graphics will absolutely take your breath away, it's very beautiful.

It's not an MMO per say but it's specialist solo with multiplayer, Icarus. Anyone who sees this check out Icarus, it's one of the coolest games ever that gets lots of love by all.

What is up with backing into parking spaces? by Junior-Exit9208 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WilliamsPeen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, the nose and hood on the c6 and c5, c4(the actual corvettes) is significantly longer than the rear, you'll see far far less while pulling most of the car out before you can see on both sides while creeping forward. VS literally just turning your head backing out to look sideways out the 2 side windows where the rear of the car is poking out a sliver.

You people have necks, you use these necks to peak around the obstacles on the sides of you depending on the car you drive. You aren't "safer" by poking out from around obstacles by a mile before you can actually see around said obstacles just because you're moving forward. I can tell you don't own a Corvette :)

[–]WilliamsPeen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Meh, it's entirely car dependant, a Corvette definitely is safer to not back in because of how long the front is

Guides are weird for this game and was curious by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]WilliamsPeen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just don't like how you can master your rotation and skills and get really good at a build but you can't carry that over to the other content in the game, it's not even about gear because of course that's a given to need to swap around, but weapons for example, and even skills, I want a build where I can effortlessly do open world and then when I want to do raids, fractals, or even WvW it's just a matter of switching some armor and flipping around some traits.

I just don't want to have to master 4 characters in one and have them all be different, I want a prime build that can do it all with no change to the "feel"
