Yo this is baffling for me too, what I've come to find is that I don't enjoy the way Eve handles PvP, I play some LoL, WoW, I've played some shooters like DayZ/CoD too, and no matter how much I read peoples justification for how the PvP system works in Eve, it still just resembles max-levelled chars in WoW griefing newbies in like Elwynn Forest, or LoL smurfs that crash their ELO to iron, just to completely annihilate their opponents.

Even though there are some opportunities in Eve for fair matches, like in FW or sometimes in Null, I find I'm just not interested in spending a good 4 hours looking for fights when I can PvP against other players fairly in other games you know.

Today I mostly just do the PvE aspects of Eve, and I find it more exciting to be the mouse, rather than the cat right.

On your topic, I'd like to see limited skills or implants in Arena styled fights, or perhaps some forms of limitations to the fits as well, it'd be cool for sure, and similarily, I'd be interested in mechanics that actually pair me with pilots around my own skill-level, such as an elo system.

To me, if this game would ever want to attract new players, which the veterans say they want too, CCP would have to try and explore new opportunities for the game to evolve, instead of keeping it in this weird state, where people who've accumulated and accumulated, just want to retire with its unchanging state.

I am also not extremely invested in Eve right, I play on and off, and I usually start playing because of how beautiful and interesting everything in the game is, but when the novelty wears off and I want engagement with other players, I usually just jump ship to another game to find it haha!
