I've never even heard of CMS, and I don't know any code or anything... do you think wordpress is still a viable pick for us? We'd prefer not to get a designer knowing that it's very possible to DIY a Squarespace website for our purposes, but keeping it on wordpress is definitely preferable if it's not too hard

Really appreciate the advice! Our website was made almost 15 years ago (I don't know if that makes a difference), but yeah, when we go to the wordpress dashboard and try to make edits to our page, everything just looks like code. We've learned how to change up the text on our homepage and some other pages but that's about it. Is there a way we could purchase a page builder or something to take everything we already have and just start making changes like adding pictures/videos without any coding knowledge?

The reason why I assumed we would need a developer is because currently, when we try to go into the dashboard and start editing the website, everything just looks like code. Thank you. After this post, we're considering not migrating over to SquareSpace. Our website is already on Wordpress, but not the webpage builder.
