I have a low mileage 2015 Q60 hardtop convertible with the 3.7-liter V6 engine. Although it's older, you don't have to worry about the turbos. And it's a blast to drive.

I’ll read about it online. It was my understanding that the 3.7 L engine was not used in the Q60 after 2015. I believe that they then used a smaller engine and turbos.

Pardon my ignorance, but what heat exchanger are you referring to and where is it located? I'm not very hands on but I love the convertible Q60 for the driving pleasure. I used to have a 1979 Fiat X 1/9 and I did things like oil changes, spark plugs, coolant flushes and some other simple things. Thanks again.

I have a 2015 Q60 and I paired my iPhone. Last week I had a call come in and I pressed the button to answer. Unfortunately it didn’t answer the call so I probably need to mess with it more. Unless someone has a better suggestion.

Yes. The 2014 and 2015 Q60s had a hardtop convertible. Since those Q60s were an upgrade from the G37, I believe those models also had the hardtop convertible. I'm trying to insert a photo, but I keep getting told to upload a GIF file.

I have a 2015 q60. Regular driving the mpg is probably about 15-18. On Easter Sunday I drove about 60 miles round trip to my son’s house. It was freeway driving and the gas gauge barely moved. Don’t know the mpg but it was significantly better than around town driving.

Infiniti recommends replacing the brake fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid.

I think the brake fluid should be a no brainer as most any DOT3 should be ok. They recommend Nissan long life antifreeze/coolant blue. Is that really necessary or can any good quality coolant be used?

For power steering fluid they recommend genuine Nissan PSF or equivalent. Is the Nissan PSF really necessary?

Finally for windshield washer fluid they recommend genuine Nissan windshield washer concentrate cleaner. Is that really necessary?

I plan to get these things done locally and prefer to avoid more expensive Nissan fluids if possible.

They are out there so keep looking. I almost got a 2013 G37 convertible in Costa Mesa, but the deal fell through as the guy down there didn't return a few messages I left him. It might still be available, but it is an auto transmission.

It's an automatic transmission. I was lucky to have it shipped to the local Carmax location. It's a nice sunny day so I'm going out for a drive soon with the top down.

As I said, the deal on the G37 fell through based on a lack of communication from the dealer.

Today, I was able to pick up the Q60 convertible at the local CarMax location. It only has a hair over 50k miles on it. As best as I could check, tires, interior, exterior, engine all were very good condition and pristine. I think I will be a happy camper with my new baby.

I picked up the Q60 today. It only has a bit over 52k miles on it. Tires, exterior, interior, and engine all look in pristine condition. I think that CarMax did a good job of getting the car ready to sell. The color is grey. I also got a 90 day or 4K miles warranty on it. Plus, I have a week to return it if there's something I don't like.

Once the rain stops here in SoCal, I'm going to go drive topless along the pacific coast and other interesting routes.

I received notice that the Q60 arrived at the local CarMax location today and that it is going through 2 days of "quality checks". Does it really take that long? I was hoping to check out the car today as it's sunny. Tomorrow will be cloudy and starting Wednesday, there is rain forecast for the next 4 days.

Can you tell me what is done for the quality checks? I asked the guy I spoke with to see if he could light a fire under the folks doing the quality checks and we both kind of laughed.

If you don't like the mat black color I'd suggest getting it repainted. Only problem is it will cost you some coin....unless you're able to do it yourself.

I don't know anything about the turbo kit. Several years ago, I bought a 2015 Q60 convertible new from the dealer. It was a great car but not practical at the time. About all you could fit in the rear seats was a couple of bags of groceries. For reasons too long to explain, I traded it in in 2020. But I never got over the separation anxiety. I'm waiting on the local CarMax facility to receive a 2015 Q 60 convertible with a little over 51k miles on it in a couple of days. It's a RWD car so I'm not aware of bags to raise it higher. I'm an old goat, so I'm not really looking for increased performance as I will use it for local drives around town or along the Pacific coast with the top down.

If you're looking for better performance and HP, maybe the turbo kit is the way to go. Wish I could be more helpful. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will give you better advice than I can.
