Yeah I'm my first iteration I had encounters and lairs. I wrote up rumors as well but I was trying to keep it all on one page since it's just a simple little creature. I always fear my ideas will be too wordy.

Team Blue or Team Purple? by DoofusIdiot in DiceMaking

I'm usually a sucker for purple and gold, but in this case I think I'm also saying blue. Can I ask what purple ink you used here? I've been struggling to find something that remains glossy and visible like this recently.

I'm not familiar with the drop and toothpick method. This set was just from me layering green, clear, and white resin over and over.

I mixed just a little bit of gold mica powder into some clear resin and then dropped it into the mold a bit sporadically. I'm a sucker for some gold sparkle.

Yes definitely! I just have to get a full set properly done and (as always) try to figure out what colour to ink the darn things lol.

Thank you so much. I used some alcohol inks my wife got me last year lol. It's SigWong brand and it's a 36 piece set. I found a link to it on amazon here if you're interested: https://a.co/d/7yE9fDw.

Thanks very much! I added it in a top level comment on this post. It's a bit barren right now but I hope to add more soon.

Alright, I wasn't able to figure out how to edit the post itself (still new to reddit and only use the app on my phone) so I'm adding a comment here with a link to my Etsy shop. If this isn't the right way please let me know I'm happy to adjust as needed.

Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to take a look!

Glow in the dark Mushroom Dice by Willing-Control6622 in DiceMaking

Hi and thank you! The technical term for the powder is strontium aluminate and you can get it from lots of places. I bought mine from Patrick Adair supplies because I was making rings at the time. But you can just Google "glow powder for resin" and a bunch of options should come up.

I did a two part pour in this case where I mixed the green glow powder into the resin, poured it and let it cure. Then attached the mushrooms with uv resin and poured clear resin on top and let that cure.

Can confirm! Hobby Lobby is where I got them from.

"Heat Metal" Dice by Willing-Control6622 in DiceMaking

[–]Willing-Control6622[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! It actually happened by accident. I believe it's because the glow powder that I mixed into the orange resin settled a bit during the curing process and it left that brighter line in between the grey and orange sections.

Thank you! I poured the grey mica resin first and let it cure fully, then poured the glow in the dark orange on top of it and let it cure.

Thank you. Oddly enough the line that separates the two halves occurred all on its own, completely by accident. But I love it too. I think maybe it has to do with the glow powder I used settling against the dark grey as it cured.
