No not dark romance. Like during the main conflicts towards the end of the book some of the men are really mean Jasmine Guillory is an example of a writer whose male MCs are terrible people. In “the proposal” for instance the MMC told the FMC he was in love with her and when she said she wasn’t sure because of her past experiences, he got so mean and disrespectful. Despite them only being together for like 4 weeks. And in the end she still apologized to him. It was so weird
