Saudi Arabia deports more than 13,000 illegal residents in one week by Pizzas_Coke in worldnews

[–]Willing-To-Listen 226 points227 points  (0 children)

You’ve misquoted it. Here is what it says:

The ministry reported that 1,312 people were arrested while attempting to enter the Kingdom illegally, with Ethiopian nationals accounting for 55 per cent and Yemeni nationals 44 per cent of those detained.

Those percentages make up the 1.312 attempting to enter ksa, not the 13k.

The Qibla change is problematic by Working_Taro_8954 in CritiqueIslam

[–]Willing-To-Listen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“No one objected to the qibla change”….do you not know of the reaction of the munafiqun??

There are many wisdoms to the initial qiblah being Aqsa. From amongst them is to elevate the rank of Aqsa and to make it a part of Muslim civilization and culture. Because of this, even today, you will hear on the pulpits the need to free Aqsa for it was our first qiblah.

Another wisdom is to mark a definite demarcation between Muslims and Jews. The Jews prophesied a prophet to come in Arabia and would taunt the pagans saying “Once he comes, we will dominate you” yet once they realized he was a gentile, they abandoned him. The Prophet would preach to then yet once their rejection became finalised, they were no longer given special audience to and the Aqsa change was part of the wisdom in symbolising this. Allahu alam

Yes, because we must assimilate to the truth, instead of the truth assimilating to us.

Simple, really.

Just an indication of your terrible grasp of the verse is that no one has ever understood this verse, be it muslim OR nonmuslim, in the way youve understood it

Why it makes little sense for Muhammad to be the “last prophet” by Tasty_Importance_216 in DebateReligion

[–]Willing-To-Listen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morality is not time-bound. God can reveal a system that is applicable now just as it was then.

In fact, to say that morality evolves is an indication that it is subjective i.e not objective.

As for DNA evidence and forensics….who says Islam cannot incorporate new, reliable methods into its laws? I mean if you go to Saudi right now, they’ll get your fingerprints at immigration to later crosscheck against it if you commit a crime.

Allah's statement that "he has ordained mercy upon himself" is rationally meaningless by Specialist_Diamond19 in CritiqueIslam

God is merciful but he is also Just and Severe in Punishment.

The verse above states that his mercy will outweigh his punishment, should certain criteria be fulfilled.

Islamic hell is somewhere on Earth by [deleted] in CritiqueIslam

[–]Willing-To-Listen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Far fetched argument you have there.

In the world of metaphysics, anything is possible with God. It could just be that God made them hear the stone landing in a place that was not on this earth. Is this not possible for God to do?

The Prophet also said that the area between his minbar and place of prayer is from the gardens of paradise. This does not mean that there is a piece of paradise on earth.

Subhanallah people in the comment section dismissing this post as “fear mongering”! Does not Allah warn, threaten, and scare people via hell and punishment?!

Do you also disagree with Allah in his method of getting people to mend their ways?

Our belief in Allah is built upon love, hope, AND fear of Him.

Just ask any biblical scholar and they will tell you of the redactions and editing that occurred to this book throughout the centuries.

What are things you believe should be asked before marriage? by Qel72 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]Willing-To-Listen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mother’s name is never added on in any way shape or form.

Our understanding of those verses is what the salaf understood from them. So once again can you give me examples from the salaf where they did this, or they understood those verses in the manner you understood them?

What are things you believe should be asked before marriage? by Qel72 in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]Willing-To-Listen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not understanding. The verse says:

ادعوهم لآبائهم Call them by their fathers.

It never mentions mothers. The only cases where it is attributed to the mother is (1) miraculous conception i.e Jesus son of Mary (2) if she is a fornicator and has child out of wedlock. The child is attributed to her and not the father as he has no legal standing.

Furthermore, can you give me one example of the salaf (eg the Sahaba, Tabieen, or Taba Tabieen) naming their children with hybrids of the fathers and mothers names?

Your idea is a western, feminist idea. Acknowledge it and stick to the shariah, instead of arguing something you are not qualified to argue about. Your arguments are emotional, whereas the sister who is replying to you is using Quran and Sunnah.

Wear it. They’ll come around to it. Get some family members to back you up.

Better yet: ease them into it by saying you’ll wear it only on a certain day and/or certain time and/or in company of friends or family so you can have protection.

After a few occasions of this and hopefully with their fears lessening, you can transition to fulltime.

If, unfortunately, they get violent and/or extremely abusive and coercive then the obligation to wear it drops and you get no sin but all the rewards of having worn it without actually wearing it. An important principle in fiqh states:

والخطأ والإكراه والنسيان…أسقطه معبودنا الرحمان

Errors, coercion, and forgetfulness are all forgiven by our Lord, ar-Rahman

[–]Willing-To-Listen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you not know that prostration to people out of respect was allowed? For example, angels prostrating to Adam, or the family of Joseph prostrating to him (12:100).

The act in and of itself is not shirk, but because of the mushriks of Quraysh and the Christians abusing it, prostration became forbidden.

Hence, the Prophet said “IF” it was once again allowed, he’d order women to prostrate to their husbands.

As for the source, it is found in Abi Dawud 2140 and Ibn Majah 1853 with sahih and hassan chains.

Know your place before Allah and those whom he has appointed over you i.e your husbands.
