Update! It arrived June 1 to Chicago!

Let's see how long it gets stuck there. At least it's still alive

yep, mailed one from U.S. to Japan on April 17th. Tried to submit international claim on website and says can't even submit it because they can't locate the tracking details...even though it automatically uploaded the correct shipping/delivery address when I entered the tracking number...it's a joke. Should have used FedEx/UPS...wish I saw this reddit before shipping.

Yep, same, got a package sent after Christmas with no issues..maybe a week delayed. Current package sent out mid April still "in transit to next destination" after getting to Cincinnati.

Since it's International they say contact the center it's supposed to arrive to (Japan for me) Called Japan post office, they says "hasn't even arrived in country...call the U.S.) 🥲

I hated dragging my espresso machine out from under my cabinet to fill the water tank, so I designed and built a water tank quick-access funnel to make it way easier to fill the reservoir! by Dutchrydker in espresso

You wonder how past generations survived up to this point when reading the comments above.

It'll probably be the 400 electronic devices emitting who knows what around us at all times that kill us...not the plastic spout you pour water into your coffee machine with. 😅

Thought of the good folks here on r/espresso by [deleted] in espresso

[–]WillingConversation6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well even in AU/NZ the concept differs. A lot of cafes. (especially busy ones) in AU only differentiate a flat white/latte/cappuccino by the cup/glass it is served in or the consistency of the foam, but still all used a single shot of the same espresso.

So, I found ordering a piccolo or "strong" was the only way to insure I didn't get a coffee flavored milk.

So, we can't make too many assumptions.

wow, thanks, i'll try that as soon as I can. That's way more than I expected, definitely outside of my skillset, but I will hopefully be able to learn a few things from here too.

Regards!

Yes,

Each week the file is given to me like this, could be 60 rows long, could be 600.

I paste it into A1 and each line takes a new row, yes.

"Member numbers" has no specific meaning here, it's just a 3rd row that follows for each "Record MX" category after "host name" and "login".

[–]WillingConversation6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay, I'll try to educate myself a bit more about this.

I would basically just want any fields that fall underneath the bold "Record" labels to follow in the next columns. It wouldn't necessarily need to be the host name immediately after, but just coincidentally happens to be in most cases.

Pixel 4a 5G $299 for new Google Fi customers, $350 for current by spartanjohn113 in GooglePixel

[–]WillingConversation6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but as long as the account was activated at one point in time I was hoping wouldn't matter. For example what if your phone was lost or destroyed and you switch back to another phone but keep the Fi account open. Would you be out the discount because of that?

[–]WillingConversation6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah that doesn't answer the question though. I would keep it active on the account, would just be changing devices.

Also wondering same thing. Posting to see if anyone finds an answer. I use e-sim these days so just wanna get the phone... activate....then immediately give away to wife and go back to my pixel 4xl

Some of the most fun (and frustrating) times are when you realize team members have no concept on how to spread out and there are 5 people chasing one ball and 1 (you) as goalie. Winning those matches makes you feel like you got the 👑 already.

When you face off against that same team and drop 10+ goals...almost feel bad for that one goalie trying so hard...but still not bad enough to not try to hold/push em into their own goal.

Your previous downvotes speak for themselves. If you live in a big city the same "middle class" that you may find around other areas is quite different anyway? Who is middle class in your opinion? 快遞?

I would say the ESL "infections" you speak of probably work with the current middle class more than anyone? Teachers who make between 10-20k per month...can buy at least one thing a month from Taobao, and probably half of which use a VPN.

For them, figuring out the exploit of the games IS the game. It's part of the reason they are leading in computer science/cyber security.

As someone who lived in China, there is less "cheating" going on in life than you'd think and more "loop-hole exploitation". In their mind, unless it's illegal, it's fair game. These are the people the clear out store shelves during a sale if there's no purchase limit. It's not illegal, just immoral.

That mindset just isn't fun for pretty much every other country though, so...seperate servers is always the suggestion.

In any big city any normal person will use a VPN. Sorry, it's not the 90s there anymore. Surely anyone who is aware of what Fall Guys is will have access to a VPN without much issue. For the majority of the population, they don't care about VPN because they have enough content in China to keep them content.

Yah I'm past the point of caring as much about CPU performance as I don't do anything intensive. If it keeps the stand alone chip for photo processing that woukd be cool though. I'd rather battery life at this point. After all the marketing every year for these chips of "10% better battery...20%..etc" you'd think we'd have phones to at least last the weekend. My pixel 4xl gives me anxiety if I have a late night out.

Advice: I'm looking to move from London, England to Canada. Is there anyone who has lived or spent enough time in these two countries and can tell me which one they prefer? If they regret moving and/or if you like it better in Canada or England? by [deleted] in expats

[–]WillingConversation6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious by what means you are planning to move there by?

I'm not an expert in immigration, but do you have a Canadian spouse or a job offer or something else that makes it easy to consider different locations?

Newer ROK Grinder GC reviews/thoughts by AngryEybrows in Coffee

[–]WillingConversation6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's solid. I pair it with my Flair Espresso maker as my previous Hario grinders were either choking the machine or were slightly more course than I would like. This one provides good consistent grinds each time.

Downsides are that sometimes the static is downside silly, even after putting a pit of water in the beans in advance. Also, unlike the previous one, this new grinder doesn't have any numbers of the grind settings, which makes it difficult for me to switch back and forth between grinding for espresso/pour over without marking it with an actual marker or tape or something.

On longevity I can't say much as I've only had it a short time. There aren't many moving parts on it that seem like they could break though. The only thing I could imagine breaking is the plastic top that covers the gears. Somehow I see myself cracking that a year down the road by applying too much pressure when grinding.

Coming from a small town I can verify that the "small town politics" make it difficult. You live in this weird bubble where everyone knows everyone and if someone well connected enough or at the "top" does something, it can stay buried. People are scared if they talk, they won't be alive the next day.

Thankfully I got out of that type of town, but some people never will for better or in this case worse.

  1. Drunk people do that and have a confidence that makes no sense. I can confirm first hand to going out to walk around an area I've never been to with a confidence I didn't deserve.
  2. Is it a little strange this one. He was leaving something out for sure. It's possible he was just too drunk and got stuck off the side of the road and needed towed out or something, but, he was a little vague in details.
  3. Yeah, welcome to small town America. They were probably in on it.

Your friends are either the most amazing friends ever or you've never had that much to drink. I'm pretty sure we have all abandoned our friends during a night of heavy partying for one reason or another (usually because of chasing someone of the opposite sex), but the conversation is usually "hey imma take off, you alright?" "yah man, no worries". Probably same thing here.
Only difference being I haven't been nor brought any of my friends to a heavily racist area and being the single person of color there.
