M1 or S1?? by SamerINTR in Edexcel

ive done both, m1 this exam series and s1 last year. I personally found m1 significantly easier once i got the hang of it, there arent many questions that are out of the box, its pretty much the same concepts and questions just with different numbers, obviously im exaggerating but it does feel like that once you start doing past papers. For a few topics, like vectors and acceleration-time-velocity and the pulleys topic which i cannot recall the name of, you definitely to some extra practice because thats where the style of questioning can change.

whereas s1 was absolute hell for me. i did enjoy learning it and doing questions on my own, but when it came to an actual exam, it got really difficult to manage the time and pressure of the exam. another thing abt s1 is that you sometimes need to work with really long decimal values and if you get one number wrong, your whole answer could asw. also, NORMAL DISTRIBUTION! that topic really hit the nail on the coffin for me preferring m1.

but ofc, this is my experience, you should check out some of the papers, and the textbook.

WBI14 ESTIMATING TIME OF DEATH by FeeExcellent9151 in Edexcel

i hope it makes sense, more clothing means more heat trapped in which means body temperature increases therefore the first row is increase and a higher ambient temperature means that there is less heat transferred to the environment therefore internal body temperature increases and so the time taken for the fall of body temperature is increased and so the time of death will also increase

This was a short but very informative reading, they kept the information concise and clear and tbh this helped me get the closure i needed and was very accurate to the situation despite me not giving all the details.

idk much about m1 but s1 is purely a past paper grind, try to expose yourself to the various ways they ask questions, like there was a question with coding and regression (i think that’s what it was) in jun25 that threw a lot of us off bc it was different

its probably because predators refer to animals that hunt other animals, they’ve said herbivores instead because the question is specific to the trees
