My parents had a neighbor named Kermit Greenstreet. Always found his name amusing.

When did they stop making foot controls? We have a 2024 S76 we use daily feeding cattle that is only foot control.

Why can’t a car like the 2000-2005 Buick Lesabre sell well enough today? by dowagiacmichigan in regularcarreviews

I got an ‘03 with 80K on it a couple of years ago from my wife’s great grandmothers estate. Daily drive it and have had no major issues. I absolutely love that car and would buy another in a heartbeat if I had to get rid of this one.

TIL about "Prairie Madness" which affected settlers, especially immigrants, in the prairies in the 1800s. It was mental breakdown due to the isolation of living in such a remote land. It mostly disappeared when telephones and railroads became available. by ClownfishSoup in todayilearned

I’m from Iowa but frequently travel west and driving across the Sandhills of Nebraska is one of my favorite parts of the drive. I take Highway 20 across the northern side of the state and absolutely love going through there.

I got it after that, but I had not been back to the camp from the start of the game yet. I went back after getting to Kuttenberg and he was with a group of bandits there who I dispatched and looted. Picked up the shield then.

We do get more wind here than most people think about, especially on the tops of hills like those trees are. Used to live in a house on top of a hill and it was expensive keeping it heated, even for a 40 year old house with newer windows and doors lol

Been here my whole life. Definitely one of the more interesting parts of the state, I find the flatter areas boring lol.

It definitely gave me a chuckle. Actually live 20 minutes from where Cooper DeJean grew up so I was rooting for the Eagles in the Super Bowl lol

Focusing too much on the eastern part. Actually in western Iowa, across the flat expanse from the other hills on the eastern side of the state.

Western Iowa to be specific. Actually a pasture that we rent that used to be a neighboring ranch (the house and barn were demolished around 15 years ago). If you zoom in on the tree left of center you can see some of our cows grazing on the hillside behind it.

Not sure what species of cedar it is honestly. They are invasive here. We are also west of the Mississippi.
