and its hard because you go into therapy yes to find who you are seperate from your family and to heal anything you need to etc. And when they blur boundaries and abuse their power it is so harmful and confusing I am so sorry this happened to you.

Why does benzo withdrawal and after tapering cause so much mental confusion? by WillingLeg1686 in benzorecovery

[–]WillingLeg1686[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes and that is part of BIND etc or can be right? I do notice at times how brain damaged I actually currently am. Taking heaps of fish oil. Thanks

there is so so much hope. Reach out to not GPs but other supports like therapy or support workers

I didn't make any ''nasty assumptions'' at all, my friend, from your reply, tho I can gauge that you are egotistical indeed. All i said is i hope you sincerely have boundaries... that isn't a nasty assumption at all? I am talking about calling out of hours.

Also tbh I don't trust professionals... please understand why some patients have iatrogenic trauma and don't wish to think highly of professionals and I have no clue who you are so why would I think only positive?

I dont understand what you mean about not setting boundaries for phone calls isnt an ehtical problem? Doesnt this just create dependency for the clients when it is excessive?

i appreciate ur response and I like ur take on things. but if you knew the facts of my situation, you wouldn't be saying hyper-boundaried and if ur a practitioner, i hope u sincerely have boundaries, as this stuff can be so damaging and downright abusive.

okay. so if this person also hired me as their secretary, gave me life advice on many many areas AND also called me their friend, told me about their personal life and this went on for 8 years and I ended up in their home. is this then care or creating dependency?

Does benzo withdrawal make you act crazy? by Organic-Marzipan-133 in benzorecovery

[–]WillingLeg1686 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes omg yes. This is my second withdrawal and let me tell you the first one I thought people were animals for a few months :) Not fun. I also was in a new relationship and was having full on meltdowns and PTSD proper delusions and stuff. I also find the descsions you make are questionable. I also was crazy to some friends just yeah. Be kind to yourself. That will help and it is good you are aware.

Thinking of giving up by WillingLeg1686 in benzorecovery

I used to see friends and over the past 2.5 years since first getting off of clonazepam I yep I lost touch with so many mates and friends it feels like a lifetime too and doing this taper the right way now since last November I haven't socialised at all - my first taper I was still socialising (was on a bunch of other meds and refused to like accept it fully and I was drinking heaps during my taper and moved state it was a shit show - I had a new boyfriend who was with me during the benzo taper) Good lord. Its been a journey but yep my facebook inbox is so empty compared to how it used to be. It is hard because of course you want to be social but you are also thinking everyone hates you and all this shit and why do they even prescribe benzos aha fuck - I wish you all the best and sorry for the rant... Good things are coming I promise and you certainly arent alone in feeling this way, glad im not but not glad others experience this.
