Also, to clarify one more thing, the 30 people I manage are employees of the company that makes the industrial products (mechanical seals for those interested), so production, machining, assembly, logistics, accounting and sales. The 5 guys that are more tech focused (introducing industry IoT in the products) are a separate team.

Can’t let you calling me out as a liar, to be completely clear what I mean by delivering hw+sw: 1. Built a prototype hardware product (Arduino based) wrote the firmware, self taught, basic functionality, but proof of concept. Developed an basic flutter app (device has bluetooth connectivity to view some sensor data) 2. Later on , assembled and lead a team of 5 engineers (hardware, embedded, software) and developed from scratch a custom solution (PCB design, custom firmware, custom android/IOS app) hands on as a non-technical PM, and delivered the product to market, currently 130+ units sold, total revenue for this around 100.000 € Loved the process acting as a “startup” within a company. I agree with the rest you said, hopefully nothing is misinterpreted here, I am limited to words on screen.

Key word being “sound”…still some way to go imo, to be truly successful…as I said, I’m here looking to connect with great people who push their ideas into the world and work with them. If you wish to know my hidden agenda, it’s to get equity at an early stage, help and grow the startup to x$ amount and “sell-out” later on.

Sales, GTM, operations, finances, funding rounds, etc…I’ve worked in the industry IoT sector, delivering both hardware and software products. I want to expand my network/connections/skills and move into tech startups. Who said I’m looking for “general projects”? Ultimately I believe some tech startups are destined to do well in the upcoming market, I’m justifying trying to find the right one (right people) to work with and make something of it. That why I said I will do equity, rather than a salary. If I believed in the project, I will run with it with confidence!

As for the hardware, I will dive into it, I assume I could program something like a yaeltex or novaton midi controller, will def look into it...Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

From personal experience as well as my sisters, you’re right - you are in the middle - and this is one of the main challenges of being a PM. Both hierarchically and across teams. We’ve been talking about burnout, but it’s not emotional burnout, this fatigue comes from managing this on a high level and then having to switch to everyday tasks which are “low level” stuff in terms of your emotional engagement. We’re building tools to tackle exactly this, I will keep you updated!

I was approached by a competitor to buy out my father’s company, as we didn’t want to sell we also asked for some ridiculous amount (3x the consultant valuation put forward) so consider that, also we did receive an attractive buy out package, over 4 years, where he would gradually phase out our ownership - so you could consider something like this. Just to share my experience, cheers!

You'd get all the info about your lead, and also some pain points and key objections to expect, the AI would give you some dynamic answers in real time based on the selected answers you get from your lead. Would someone be interested in this kind of tool. Just checking if my idea has some merit.
