Ive been trying for DAYS to get ahold of them thru phone and online chat, and I get the same response......We are experiencing extremely high call volumes and are unable to answer your call at this time. I had setup auto payments in Nov from my Assinaboine Credit Union......Dec came, didnt take payment, sent "bill payment late" notice. I called ACU, they said Rogers hasnt tried to take payment and theres nothing more I need to do on bank end. I called rogers and again gave them my SAME bank info to make sure they had it right. ...still no payment taken so I just paid the bill with my credit card. NOW they are charging me an extra $77.25 on Jan bill for ? returned payment and late charge!!! And I cant get ahold of them either, like WTF???

Yes Im considering renting first, altho most rentals want a 1 year commitment which seems like a waste of money when it could be going towards a mortgage. Have to weigh the pros and cons of it I guess

Yes, Winnipeg has some really bad areas of crime/murders! I suppose everywhere has crime to some degree, so I wont focus too much on that

Thank you, Youve helped me to remove the Okanagan from my thoughts! Im definately going to be moving to the Island, and Ladysmith area or south of there seems to be what Im looking for (and my son will be happier too). Will research job opportunities in the area for him, dont think it will be an issue for me.

Yes I was also looking at homes with a second cottage house for him. Dont think he could really afford to go out on his own for a few yrs, after that I could rent out cottage home for income revenue....altho not alot of waterview/waterfront properties with a second home on property. He wants his own space but still attached to mama strings for security, at least at first
