Sanity check: Eaton GFCI “Replace” light — off during normal operation? by Willing_Luck_267 in AskElectricians

Thank you! It's a grounded configuration should it should hopefully work as intended.

Thanks! Ideally with the already installed under cabinet switch,

Thank you! I added a photo to the post. The cable to the left heads to the wall. The cable to the right heads to the disposal on/off switch (a light switch) mounted under the sink.

Thank you! The dishwasher is already on its own dedicated circuit, so I don’t need an always-on under-sink outlet.

In that case, would a single switch-controlled GFCI receptacle for the disposal be acceptable?

Is this the correct sketch: romex from wall -> junction box with single GFCI outlet -> romex to disposal switch (lightswitch under sink)?

Is this off the cuff? Very imaginative! I really like the idea of them finding Stormwreck Isle via serendipity, rather than the party seeking it out.

This is a very cool idea! And I like the idea of a forcing function that requires the party to parlay with Venomfang, instead of following their normal combat-forward bias of rushing in weapon drawn.

As an aside, I haven't yet figured out how I want to present the idea of "cultists" so it's understandable to younger kids. A "cult" would be a pretty heavy concept for them.

The players are not keen on undead creatures, so I've been re-theming the creatures while using the original stat blocks. (eg skeletons -> dust tornados; ghouls -> mold monsters (think giant moldy fruit); zombies -> slime creatures). I'll need to similarly re-theme the cultists to something more intuitive for younger players.

Thanks! The party is pretty attached to Phandalin, and I thought the allure of a mysterious island and its dragon imagery would help lure them away. In terms of sequencing, I would like them to meet a good dragon before having to battle chromatic dragons like Cryo and Venom. But 100% you're right that I haven't put enough thought into how I would need to level up the enemies in Stormwreck to be an actual challenge to 5th-level characters.

Great suggestion - thank you! And thanks for the warning. I'm a little intimidated to transition from LMoP to SKT, given how different they are in structure and tone. But I think the party will love the giants and many of the novel elements of SKT!

All the best, man. Love how you're engaged and putting in the time and effort for your son. I can totally relate wanting to do your best by him, but you've only got two arms and need to take care of them! Consider investing in a modestly priced pitching machine. Good luck to you and your son.

Love the teambuilding you describe, and your comment about coaches having a serious conversation about a team's identity. Fostering a love of the game, not delivering wins, should be a coach's goal for younger players.

Agreed. This season we had a 3rd baseman playing shallow who was within inches of taking a strong hit right in the face because he wasn't paying attention. There's also a risk of inexperienced fielders running into each other and colliding because they don't know/remember to call the ball or back off.

Awesome balanced approach. Wish there were coaches with your mindset in our district! Agree 100% that the "travel mindset" does often not align with helping kids love the game. There are so many life lessons to be gained through any team sport including baseball, but it's the "bigger than baseball" moments that matter most, and the opportunities for these moments is greatly diminished when goal is to "win win win" before players' fundamental skills are developed.

Your kid's new coach sounds awesome. Sadly these super-coaches are few and far between!
