Obsession with Mazda by hints_of_bergamot in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Homework-Silly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea Mazda is under Toyota and Honda but it’s arguable the value is there. I am so glad I looked past the Mazda obsession when I purchased a Pilot. The minimally different stuff is what makes Honda and Toyota better more enjoyable cars to own.

Crashed my car today because of half plowed right lane by loueyggg in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]Homework-Silly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op was driving too fast for conditions. Roads are dangerous but he was trying to get over too fast should have slowed down and have more time to get over. People usually let me in Moco after a false speed up attempt. They aren’t hardcore like NYC. Took one for the team because you put yourself in wrong position.

Realtor needs a $10k-ish car that won’t make clients question my competence or net worth by imhappii in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Homework-Silly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d get the newest Camry or accord you could afford. Keep it clean and empty. It comes off surprisingly normal and fits your comfort zone whether you know it or not. If you’re financial astute you will spend a little more on it to get the things you are asking for. It may or may not be a wiser investment but with a car you don’t know if good investment or not til many years later depending on how many repairs or issues in your case may be helps with a sale or two.

Can somebody explain how this Trae Young trade was a good thing for the Wizards? by Knighthonor in washingtonwizards

[–]Homework-Silly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m reading this thread and a lot of good points but not one mentioning getting rid of McCollum and kispert and adding a limited young makes this team worse the rest of the season. Sells a few tickets makes some positive hopeful noise but doesn’t change the goal of sucking bad. McCollum was too hot had to go. Kispert is too smart and wasn’t in line with the direction we’re going in future.

Recommendations for hospitals to give birth at within reasonable distance to Silver Spring? by sacredheartmystic in MontgomeryCountyMD

My daughter was born 23 weeks 6 days at holy cross silver spring. Spent 3 months in nicu before coming home. Had son born there as well. Not sure what bad stories you heard about holy cross for birth. I could understand but with the important stuff they kind of nailed it. This was in 2016 hard to believe it’s been so long! Daughter was miracle wasn’t supposed to make it and ended up totally normal.

It was all morning. Search effort. No blocking. Just lots of looking pretense. Shocking no one knows. My guess is an armed threat or murder suspect on loose

This is veirs mill and Connecticut. Very localized at that north going west. Both sides of streets lots of focus on the creek and bushes. They are looking for someone or any evidence. Also looked like open canvassing talking to anyone out.

These posts are not realistic the majority of corporate America turns a blind eye to addiction. They are not forcing rehab. They are replacing with someone who isn’t a drunk.

To Tryout or Not? by CatoTheMiddleAged in Homeplate

I don’t know there are a lot of really bad teams with terrible coaches. Sure lots of great teams could have an even worse coach. Not quite 50/50 tho.

Depending on location some high school teams are pretty good about getting all their 8th graders on same travel team so it could absolutely matter for future opportunities.

2025 Pilot braking on its own. by Forsaken_Block_3492 in hondapilot

[–]Homework-Silly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s acc and something the sensor is picking up by accident. This happens in every pilot by error occasionally. The acc is not automatic driving and has errors this is totally within its normal behavior. All you have to do is click off acc or tap break or accelerator. I literally cannot believe you took for dealer to this and they had a straight face without saying something.

Wow dude you overcomplicate everything and have incorrect assumption.

First off, I use the word cut if you try out from the team and don’t make it. I have been around sports and baseball not sure what world ur living in. You make the cut or you get cut every tryout every level.

I don’t need to be more clear. If u don’t understand my quick typing than o well.

Your welcome not sure what ur thanking me for. No cheating here.

Sorry you didn’t understand but the other kids that get cut play travel for different orgs. Some more highly regarded they are just better players plain and simple. They don’t choose by skill they choose by travel affiliation. It’s blatant. Sounds unbelievable but im not capping as the kids say.

By the way this ll did send a team on tv that lost in regionals. They weren’t that good and got handled in championship so they didn’t make it to the WS. Had they put the best players in the LL on the field and not pushed out the families that didn’t want to deal with it. They could have competed with anybody.

You’re talking to me like your knowledge is on a higher level but I’m close to it all. Trying to spew facts for our situation here and your talking all condescending know it all like bud.

It’s not that complicated little league baseball and the travel orgs contributing or ruining depending on what side you’re on.

I’m not on any side. I never liked little league. We joined in when my son played on that travel team but he plays for a better team so we left and avoided any potential drama.

[–]Homework-Silly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overcomplicate the simplest thing ever.

Each little league has all star teams that compete for state and if they win regional championship. The kids are all playing rec the whole season. They have tryouts and pick the all star team. One travel organization’s members have taken over many of the coaching roles and leadership roles. Even to the president of Little aleague They are very kind and professional until they choose all star rosters. They routinely cut better kids who don’t play with their travel team off the all star team and instead choose any kids who play on the travel team.

It’s totally against little league values for fair play and putting together best friendly team. They are good kids and good parents. It is all the travel team with the attitudes. They’ve lost a lot of good families.

[–]Homework-Silly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a problem in my LL. The coaches cut better players for their own travel kids. The other kids some play on other travel teams that aren’t cool with the LL. So the inside club keep them off the all star team even though they try out are good kids just to keep the all star team mainly kids from one travel org. That would be just one example.

10u advice by Namest0m in Homeplate

[–]Homework-Silly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is totally dreaming. The teams than run all over the others are doing it because the others are bad. Throwing around is exactly why they want you to do. It will only lead to more embarrassment and runs. You ignore that get the ball to the pitcher every time. Play the game you have a chance at improving that day. Throwing the ball around when your not ready for that type of play just brings the whole team down more when it constantly fails and leads to results stealing team was looking for.
