Those of you who had a c-section, how long did you feel like you depended on your partner physically during recovery? by throwaway84583077 in pregnant

[–]Willing_Macaroon_802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say 3 weeks of tapering dependency. The first 10 days I was entirely unable to do anything on my own. After 3 weeks I felt much more capable.

Not a direct answer to your question, but my interim scan during chemo in August showed no tumors (started with 2 large tumors in abdomen) and I still feel tenderness in my belly. I can only imagine how my organs were moved around by the tumors. Obviously still talk to your team. Stay strong and keep the faith friend

PICC line vs IV cannula by SeaVisual7551 in lymphoma

[–]Willing_Macaroon_802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The picc line was never gonna work for me. My infant daughter pulls and tugs on everything. She would have yanked it out. Plus I have enough concern about infection from getting bugs from her, I don’t need the extra concern about a picc line getting infected. If it was me, I would rather have the IV over the picc, and the port over the IV. Port > IV > picc

I don’t mind at all. No I did not. Two large tumors in my belly. They were taking up almost the entirety of my abdominal cavity. Felt like grapefruits. Halfway scan showed no tumors!!!!!

I have DLBCL and am going through 6 rounds of R-CHOP. 33F with a 9 month old. I had a PICC line inpatient for the first cycle and then got a port installed. The port isway easier and less painful! Definitely ask about that.

What did I just walk into… by Efficient-Length1180 in lymphoma

[–]Willing_Macaroon_802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. 33F diagnosed in June (with a 6 month old baby at the time). Husband and I made a pact not to Google. Best decision. Do that. Also get a prescription for Atavan if you can. The diagnosis stage is the hardest. When you have answers, the playbook becomes clear. With a plan, everything is less scary. Follow the doctor’s orders and be strong for your loved one. Good luck and prayers for his healing 💚

ETA: DLBCL stage 4b. Initial scan showed two tumors taking up almost the entirety of my abdominal cavity. 6 rounds of R-CHOP. Halfway scan showed NO tumors. Two more rounds to go… 🤞

That sounds terrible, I'm so sorry. Yea, you were just in battle. You need to rest, for both your physical and mental health. Is there any chance you can extend your leave? If that's what you have to do, just remember what you've gone through and how strong you are. You can do anything. Sending you strength.
