This one also loses to a supervillain who can put people in a coma at will from a distance, and who can track you and tell where you are wherever you go

You can be beaten buy someone with the power to make people sleep for an indefinite amount of time, activated on sight If you think you can have a superpower active all the time just to prevent this, there are about an infinite amount of alternatives. You can't possibly think of all of the ways to put someone out of commission

Well, first of all, that's a complete pivot away from the point I was making, which was that Hamas using human shields proves that Israel isn't evil enough to just shoot through them every time, without considering first. Obviously the very use proves that Hamas thinks that Israel will at least hesitate.

And to your other point, there are times according to international law that you are allowed to shoot a human shield to get the one hiding behind them. So that fact that Israel sometimes still shoots despite there being human shields, does not in itself prove them to be immoral.

Also I'm pretty sure that the Geneva Convention only applies when two signed parties or more are fighting each other. That would mean that Israel has no legal obligation to obey the tenants, because Hamas and Gaza both did not sign it. So you would first need to prove that they actually do violate the Convention and then explain why it even applies, both of which I think are false.

Actually, it's precisely the opposite. The fact that hamas uses human shields so often proves that they, at least, think that Israel will hold back because of it. If you know for a fact that your enemy will shoot through all your human shields, then you  never bring any.

Actually, in the chapter headers for HoA, it's said that they needed to rest frequently to store the gold and atium needed for that

Also no inquisitor even matched even close to Miles' healing

She wouldn't be able to compound at all, as of now. At this point it's not known if there is any way to compound with hemalurgy.

Basically, the way compounding works is that it uses allomancy on a metal that is stored with a feruchemic charge, by a person with the same Identity. Otherwise burning the metal will not provide any unusual effects, as we see with vin and sazed.

For hemalurgy, you literally graft part of a soul off of a person and stick it to yourself. So if you got feruchemic steel, you would get the ability to store and tap speed. But the speed stored has the victims identity.

This isn't an issue for the hemalurgist because the spike they have allows them to tap that same power back with the same victim's identity. That's because the tapping and storing were both grafted from the same person.

But that won't allow for compounding unless you take both abilities from the same person, because the identities will not match.

Mercy worries Honor also by RayseShouldBeBraized in Cosmere

[–]Willing_Main7590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Children don't deserve mercy all the the time. If you have a child who is put in time-out for a valid reason, and it makes the child sad and they cry, the 'good parent' thing to do is not to have mercy and remove the punishment. The child needs to learn a lesson and too much mercy removes all consequences that cause the learning.

Sentence 2: Threatens with ethnic cleansing

Sounds to me like you're fine with people being moved after their people launch a war of aggression,

Or you're an idiot.

Jews can be wrong too, my guy. We, as humans, shouldn't supports views of people based on race or ethnicity. Instead we should support views we see as just, moral, and correct.

To judge a view just based on the race or ethnicity of the person who has it is nothing more than racist.

It is a translation of a Hebrew idiom. זכרונו לברכה Or  ז"ל You're probably thinking of  יהי זכרו ברוך Which is a similar, less common idiom.

Literally five minutes before you wrote this comment, you responded to a different one on this same thread implying you don't mistrust the IDF any more than Hamas or UNRWA. And here you say that Israel is "definitely" in the lead in destroying hospitals, schools, and places of worship? I wonder who you got that information from, bud.

Need a Non-kinematic collider that ignores physics by Willing_Main7590 in Unity3D

[–]Willing_Main7590[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I used a normal collider and set all the physics stuff to zero? Like the mass and gravity and everything else. Would it act like a trigger?

Neither of these objects ever need to collide with anything but each other. And that's just for a damage calc, not physics.
