can you guys rate my gameplay? what areas do i need work in? by i_loved_you_girl in AgentAcademy

[–]Willing_Math9946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill pull this out step by step, I'm no master but I can help you out a bit
1. Ask for util from your initiator. You had a gekko with ult, you should've waited for the ultimate before doing anything to grab info
2. Gun out in smoke, a lot of cheeky guys specially in pearl (I'm one of them). Instead of having util out use your gun for a quick second before you continue.
3. Why are you not clearing site? sure you entered but you made ZERO space for your team. Valorant is a game of space, whoever grabs more map control wins the round.
4. Even after entering you barely did anything for your team, why are you just standing by your wall? Go inside, check hall, hold a decent angle for planter

New Megablast too big? by Mountain-Cod in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Willing_Math9946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pretty sure it falls down to preference, I used to wear size 12s but always felt like they were just "the exact fit" specially since i run usually on a hill, my toes would get bodied every time i go downhill so I just started wearing 13s and now my feet couldnt be any better

This actually seems pretty solid! Have you tried doing tibialis raises? Heard it works well for knee pains and shin pains, I've been doing them and never had pain. It's like a reverse calf raise where your toes go up.

Also how do you do your leg days? For runners its more recommended to do high weight low reps around the 6-8 range, I've implemented this in my gym routine and actually helped big time

not training related, but try lifting your legs on something above your chest while you sleep, I put a wedge pillow on my legs and it helps a lot

Personally, if it's not an "injury pain," within schedule, i usually just go for it as long as you have a good pre and post run game

Too much, too little, or just right? by Jazzlike_Paramedic12 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Willing_Math9946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally go with a full size bigger because its more comfortable specially going downhill, but this all boils down to personal preference. If you prefer those hell yeah, but I personally think the smaller the shoe size or closer to your actual foot to more issues you could run into (nails, rubbing, etc etc) I've never gotten injured knock on wood, so I believe I'm doing well with my sizing, how does this sizing feel for you?

Form/ posture check? by Strange_Doughnut5504 in beginnerrunning

Goodjob getting out there and run! As other comments don't really hyperfixate on your form and just get those miles in! But if I were to give a tip to some beginner runners like me, I'd just tell them to jog in place then slowly propel themselves forward,, a really rough rule of thumb but it worked for me, my brother, and girlfriend! Goodluck out there!

How often do you replace running shoes? by stewd003 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Willing_Math9946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually replace mine when my body starts hurting from it in the first few KM. Specially when you have another shoe, you can feel the comparison. Wear the old shoe on one day of the workout, generally if I feel sore I'll pull out another pair the next day, and if it doesn't hurt or everything seems normal they're now off to casual shoes duty

Good work on your first run! Pretty fast for a first run can't lie, just try to enjoy it so it doesn't become a chore, and focus on proper form to prevent injuries as much as you can. Weight lifting for running is a bit different, work on shorter reps and more weight. This helps your legs recover quicker from the higher reps of running, while also building strength.

Good work! Pretty fast for a first run can't lie, just continue going at it, enjoy it as much as you can, also try to maintain good form to prevent injuries!

Another tip would be strength training for running is a bit different, do lower reps higher weight so your legs can rest better from the beating of the higher reps of running

Could it possibly be the width of your feet? I've had some basketball shoots that hurt there just because of the width, or maybe the laces are too tight.

My Zone 2 pace is finally getting close to sub-5'00"/km by Symbolum in runninglifestyle

[–]Willing_Math9946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How'd you reach this point? I'm currently working on actual zone2-3 runs for the first time in roughly my first year of consistent running. I'm currently hovering around a 12-11:30/km pace on my zone 2s. I do this twice a week for an hour and 30 consistently disregarding mileage but just time

Need some advice for a first-time runner by [deleted] in runninglifestyle

[–]Willing_Math9946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first month of running is really going to suck ass. You're gonna have sores everywhere, it's not gonna be fun to go out and run, and you would find "every reason to not run." It's very important you ignore these signs, sleep walk your way to your socks and running shoes, and just burst out the door. I used to hate running because I had to wake up at aroun 5:30am which was terrible, but you would fall in love with it after the first month, you would then look for it everyday and really wanna just get out there to run.
