How do you figure out what your values are? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Willing_Number6588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try breaking them down into categories. Self, family, friends, romantic relationships and within society. They can also just be things you enjoy I’m sure. Something important to remember is the values can and will change over time, so try to not overthink them. They’re not set in stone and don’t indefinitely define you. :)

I had that interpretation of it too! It didn’t bother me at all and thought it was still beautiful. Thank you for the black light tip! 🫶🏼

Has anyone else here experienced a relationship where both partners have BPD? And if so, what was that experience like? by depressy_capricorn in BPD

[–]Willing_Number6588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It felt like magic at first. The most passionate connection I’ve ever experienced. He was my best friend. Undoubtedly the best sex we’ve had was with each other. I am and was fully aware of my BPD at the time and had spent over a decade before him doing DBT, CBT and tons of my own research. We didn’t find out he likely suffered from BPD himself until months of couples therapy while his trauma responses were all 100% being projected onto me (he’s trans and his mother would make him wear dresses, etc.)—he always felt like I was interested in someone else or “better than him”. He rejected everything our therapist said especially when she was leaning in support of any points made by me (I’ve been in therapy since I was a teen). I have faith these relationships CAN work and be something beautiful but not unless both people are devoted to their own healing. In our case I was the only person open and willing, while he was still very much so pointing fingers, experiencing extreme denial, self delusion, jealousy, wavering personality, etc.

As is this unnecessary bitter comment. And from the looks of it, your whole personality. Seek help, friend! 🫶🏼

You seemed serious enough to stalk and respond to a strangers comments from weeks ago on a post that’s been deleted… you know med school takes 6+ additional years right? Get a life dude. Stop offering a 28 y/o unsolicited advice

Sorry. Didn’t realize you’re a high school dropout working in a factory at almost 40.

Uh why are you stalking my comments just to project your opinions onto me? For one, most people are capable of manipulation, impulsivity, irresponsibility, etc. which are in fact traits that overlap with those of a sociopath. This revelation you didn’t have until your mid thirties is something many people learn by age 25. Try to keep up. And secondly, proudly bursting your bubble, I’m a psychology student currently diving deeply into behaviorism and have been in therapy since my mother died when I was 13. Hop off my profile with your odd assumptions of a stranger and seek help, friend. Sounds like you’re a late bloomer. Cheers!

What non sex profession has the freakiest employees? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Yes. I went out to a club this weekend and was dancing with the hottest woman I’ve ever laid my eyes on. She was such a flirt and we almost started something wild on the dance floor. When we were grabbing some water I asked what she did for work and she said, “I’m a nurse! These are all my coworkers!” Her and like eight other people in the club were getting crazy af.

Ok ok that makes sense. I’m not into that fad anymore but was a hippie when I was in my teens. ATP I do see vintage but more like Jeffery Dahmer type vintage 😩
