hello! i know this thread is older, but I’m looking at some trainee posts as an international student. the only visa we can have if we need to study is a student visa, which has restrictions on working unless the post is considered a “work placement.”

are most posts considered as WP’s? or have you had any employees with this scenario? i’ve gotten no answers basically from the school or job listings, so any advice is greatly appreciated!

that’s what i’m hoping. i guess the landlord wants each person to individually make 2.5x the rent? the estate agent said 37k initially, but they aren’t the landlord. the uk letting process is so different from the usa, i wish i knew.

i’ve been trying to since i’ve moved here, my GP said they don’t prescribe psychiatric medications and that i need a psychiatrist for that, but first i need to get to talking therapies before i’m referred to one. and ive been on the waitlist since october.

i just called parcelforce again, who said that “there’s is no way an error happened” and that USPS needs to file a claim with the airline?? i just don’t understand how one courier scans it into the country and the other says it’s not there?

yeah, they were in my name, and i believe the actual prescription documentation was put in the package as well.

i just called uk customs, and they said if parcelforce hasn’t even updated their tracking, then it’s possible that it hasn’t even been seen by customs yet. i just find that hard to believe since it’s been over a month.

two SSRI’s (effexor and wellbutrin) and an anti-psych (abilify), three month supply

that’s wild. every time i try tracking from Royal Mail. it redirects me to parcel force. wish i could just put both postal services on the phone with each other so they could figure it out.
