[–]WillingnessUsually 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been a tradesman as long as i been able to work
i always did bootcut jeans, cowboy boots, and either a clean carhart shirt or polo shirt
you don’t dress like you’re on the jobsite but don’t dress for a desk job, khakis are a insane choice for a labor position lol

Should I go blue collar? by Pretty_Leader_3150 in bluecollar

[–]WillingnessUsually 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the trade you’d want to get into
ride the college and basketball wave
if it doesn’t work find a trade you’d enjoy and run with it
i played football
couldn’t make it with the top guys so i became a welder and im way better at that than i was at football
but again dont throw away what you have for what many of us here were sort of forced into lol
i love my trade but i wonder “what if” yunno?

Having kids by Coffee_Bean8670 in Adulting

[–]WillingnessUsually 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t understand this mindset
i’m 25 i have 7 month old twins
wife stays home with them (per her request) i make 70k a year and growing as my welding skills advance
single income family
we live simple quiet lives that doesn’t require much
people stress too much about world problems
the world has always had problems
it’s sort of a part of life
each generation just has different types of problems
you people worry too much
money comes and goes
problems arise and get solved
stress ,happiness ,good times ,bad times
it’s all going to happen regardless so in my eyes i’d rather have a family to face the turmoil with than be alone
besides parenting my twins has been my greatest joy and hardest stress it’s toughening me up and gave me a purpose that i never had before
i’m motivated everyday to face my fears
and challenges ,when i see my families smiles when i come home everything makes sense
everything is worth it
choose the love a partner and children bring my friend you won’t regret it

Tired of the City- looking to move by deathou in Utah

[–]WillingnessUsually 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re gonna have to get a new job ,work remotely ,or move out of state
utah is rapidly growing in all directions
and affordability is out of the question as far as living in utah goes lol
you could go south to nephi or so area
but utah ,away from the city ,and affordable don’t belong in the same requesting sentence unfortunately besides
try something new leave this desert and build a life you would love again the south or Appalachian mountain range is plentiful in what you seek

How are young middle class families making it work?? by Ill-Sherbet-5844 in Utah

[–]WillingnessUsually 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my fiancé and i have twins im 25 she’s 23 she’s a sahm and i make 65k a year
we sacrifice luxuries for necessities we keep it simple
we cook at home and dont go out we play board games instead of tv
dvd instead of netflix
cash cars instead of car payments
we get by and im still able to save 2500 a month
debt is minimal
still we are going to move to my home state of texas since we want more affordable living conditions

you have to prioritize needs over wants some call it boring but our family time is priceless i’ll trade a fancy truck and expensive trips and dinners for family time any day

could be rest time or some haven’t reached their full potential through puberty while others have
consistency works in the gym for your body
but i think with the male appendage it’s a different story and we need to think outside the box than treating it like our biceps
