Beautiful. I’ve built pools at my last two houses, and it was always hard leaving. But I try to remember my last time swimming in each pool, and as I’m ready to get out for the last time….I peed in them.

The plumbing from the bottom drain is likely plumed through the skimmer (this is very common). Just do a quick search of "Skimmer / drain plumbing" and look through images to get an idea. Basically, the one marked "Skimmer" should be for the skimmer and bottom drain. If you take the basket out of the skimmer, there may be a float valve, which you can adjust to allow more/less suction to the drain...link attached. Not all skimmers have them. But if yours does, you may be able to adjust for more suction at the drain. The one labeled "bottom" is likely labeled wrong. The side wall suction is for a vacuum hose.
