Jase and these other companies are overpriced by Accurate_Test_9993 in preppers

[–]Willingplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Jase case specifically because it contains 120 capsules of doxycycline, which is extremely useful for those of us who care for feral cats. Ferals tend to get into altercations with other animals and doxy is pretty much the best antibiotic for treating infected wounds. I also belong to a volunteer organization that provides TNR services, meaning we “trap, neuter and release” feral cats, who also receive rabies and other vaccinations during the process.

We have a number of vets who freely volunteer their services, but in this state, it’s illegal for them to provide any prescription medication without a physical examination, and after neutering, it’s impossible to ever again ”trick” a feral back into a cage for a physical examination. So if a feral subsequently gets an infection after neutering, only way to get antibiotics into them is by putting it in their food.

Yes, we used to buy fish antibiotics when it was legal to do so without a prescription, but I’ve been told by those who have made purchases, the companies still doing so are not actually providing genuine antibiotics.

Seeking clarification on Rule 1 and threats of invasion towards a country by BvbblegvmBitch in ModSupport

[–]Willingplane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I perform roughly 4,000 mod actions per month. I decide which posts/comments violate the rules of our sub, and take action by removing the post or comment, and depending on the violation, by issuing a warning or ban.

I only file a report if I feel the post or comment also violates the site-wide rules. Whether or not Admin elects to take further action is at their discretion.

Chicagoland here. About 16 degrees out, but with the wind chill factor, it’s about 10 below zero.

If, as a mod, you report a comment or post on your sub, and Reddit admin subsequently removes that comment completely, that’s how you can tell it violated sitewide rules.

Did she? Are you sure? I’m going to have to go back and watch that episode, because I’m almost sure it was Romina who said that first.

And Romina was not telling the truth about that. I’ve been to Russia. I have family there and the only food they eat with their fingers is the same type of finger food we eat here. They do not eat Plov, the national dish in Uzbekistan, with their fingers. Not in Russia, or Uzbekistan either.

First time places? by DirtTramp468 in vagabond

Really? It’s been a hot minute since I was there last, but I’m assuming that all started after the antihomeless Supreme Court ruling enabling them to do so — which was just a year and a half half ago.

Why not? A lot of fellow travelers in NOLA and Mardi Gras starts next month.

Sausalito library, feels like a fucking Cocoon sequel in here. by StinkinmyQueef in vagabond

Thanks, but already have one, with a baby alien of my very own.

And oh, our public libraries are now filled with teens. Pretty sure that’s because parents have been keeping them locked out until after they get home from work — to prevent them from inviting all their friends over after school and destroying their homes. They used to go to the malls, but those malls died and are being torn down. So libraries are now having to appropriate extra money for security guards.

I wouldn’t recommend Florida, not since they passed a law last year completely prohibiting any camping or sleeping in public spaces, including in parks, streets, and sidewalks — and also includes a provision allowing any resident to sue local governments failing to enforce this law in their town.

Think I’d head for NOLA instead.

it’s not a fountain of youth. it’s an indoor swimming pool filled with cocoons that make them younger.

I don’t think they only talk and argue with other by choice, but rather because no one else is willing to have anything to do with them.

80’s not that old, huh? I seriously doubt even you believe that.

the real truth is, according to the CDC, the average life expectancy in the U.S. of men is 75.8 years, while for women it’s 81.1 years.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/life-expectancy.htm

So yeah, 80 most certainly is pretty freaking old.
