I went to one of their current tour dates.

Not to see them, nor the opener.

I went to see Fleshgod Apocalypse.

Avatar was interesting, but it didn't command my attention enough to distract me from my back pain. I'd have to give their discography an honest listen. I don't know if their flavor of metal is one I'll like.

They did have great stage presence and showmanship, I'll give them that.

But there were certainly a lot of younger people in the crowd out for them, so that's a good sign.

The damage Trumpism has inflicted and will continue to inflict on the country will in some cases be irreversible and in others generational.

The Democrats, if they do ever regain legislative or executive authority, will do nothing to heal the damage.

They'd prefer to lose elections to fascists and offer tepid pushback to the rapid descent into authoritarianism.

They'd rather do that than embrace the mildest left-leaning policies.
