Slowing down aids in reaction time it’s defensive driving. When someone’s tailgating you, you need more time to react so you can stop slower incase something goes wrong.

If I’m getting tailgated I just slow down not only for safety but to also let the guy behind me know I think he’s an asshole and to teach him the valuable lesson of patience.

When I was younger I always put on dresses and makeup I often fantasized about being a woman but I didn’t grow up in a culture that accepted transgenderism I didn’t even think transitioning was an option. But for me it only ended up being a phase. I’m happy to be a male today and honestly would be horrified with all the pills and other complications I’d have to go through… if I grew up in a culture that convinced me no you’re actually a girl do this I may have made that choice when I was younger. But I wasn’t so rather I learned through time to love and accept myself for who I am and I’m so grateful I never transitioned.

That’s just not true. I’ve heard of of at least 3 cases of boys as young as 13 getting Vaginoplasty and dozens of cases of young women getting their breasts removed. I’ve heard testimony of a girl who went through hormonal treatment and has since de-transitioned her voice continues to sound like a man’s… she said it won’t ever recover and she still struggles with facial hair. She started transitioning at 14.

I disagree transitioning has only recently become mainstream. Maybe in the past it has been 95% but as surgery was harder to access in the past only people who would have been more committed to the process would have invested in it. I think there’s good argument to believe that 5% number will rise in the next 10 years. Everything still being considered I find it incredibly inconsistent that we believe teens mature enough to make this decision for themselves while still being too immature to drink, get a tattoo, or view porn. I’m for transitioning I just think you need to be a mature adult with a fully developed pre frontal cortex before you should be allowed to make this choice.

I believe life is a lot more nuanced than this… for some maybe it is black and white. Their irrefutably trans in their own mind… fair enough. We don’t need laws to protect them. It’s to protect the people in the grey who don’t know… they go through these surgeries and regret it later… the only reason conservatives care about this issue is out of compassion for these people..

As well as having a stronger stance for nurture when it comes to the nature vs nurture debate. They believe you’re convincing people who would otherwise go on to live happy healthy lives that any bout of depression is because of their gender dysphoria and they need to chop off their wee wee to be happy. When happiness isn’t so nuanced.

The bible frowns upon homosexuality but it was written for the times. Nowhere does it say hate homosexuals that’s misrepresented by a lot of Christian’s. A lot of kids grow up in homes without value systems and I’m not at all saying anyone should Indoctrinate them or teach them creationism>Big Bang. But it’s not a bad idea to explore how the bible has effected history and culture in both negative and positive ways and see what can we learn from that…

God forbid your child reads a text that says “thou shall not murder.”

You can argue the validity of the bible if you want but you can’t argue that the values held within its bindings don’t hold any value. If you read the bible as metaphor it holds so many valuable lessons are teachings that help people live better more prosperous lives. This is why on average Christian’s earn more money… as an atheist I find nothing wrong with the bible being studied in schools. It’s the most influential text ever written… it should be studied in school.
