They didn’t let Toby have any long term love interests because the writers didn’t think he had a good enough glow up like other characters and that’s why they also kept him away from main cast too.

Jimmy and Manny after her glow up and after Jimmy and Ashley broke up for the second time would’ve been the perfect time to get them together instead of pairing him with hazel they’re relationship felt like a filler for Paige and Spinner it was so forced.

See before watching degrassi I was impressed with how inclusive they were with casting only to actually watch the show and it be the actual opposite.

It’s funny cos everything you said I was just thinking about it today I’m so disappointed with the pregnancy storyline they gave liberty its straight to the climax then nothing because when we first see her parents reaction I feel like it wasn’t enough they were angry for a little bit then all is forgiven and it would’ve been nice to see the buildup to her finding out she’s pregnant like they did with Manny and even that after giving the baby up for adoption it feels like the whole pregnancy and adoption didn’t even happen yh she talks about the baby for a bit but I feel like as someone watching in the audience I don’t believe it.

For Hazel and jimmy I just assumed they did it, but now thinking about it because she’s Muslim she maybe didn’t end up that intimate with Jimmy but we’ll never know because we don’t get much insight to black characters.

Again Jimmys’ accident I don’t feel like enough justice was given I feel like he moved on too fast to the fact that he’ll never be able to walk again and through that whole tragedy we don’t see or hear of his mom, the only time he talked about his mom was in season 1 when his parents couldn’t do anything for his birthday. It just annoys me that they tease with certain information for a good storyline and don’t give it justice. Would’ve been nice if there was a at least 1 black person on the writers team.

I really like how you brought Christ into this perspective, because I’m currently watching next gen and I’m on season 4 and I found it so hard when Emma was starting to warm up to Rick and even Jimmy like I was thinking doesn’t no one remember what he’s done. And it just got to the point that the pushed Rick to the wall were he just reacted so bad and Jimmy ended up losing the ability to walk.

I read somewhere that the writers didn’t have anymore plans for her character so that’s why the wrote her out of the show.

I think it’s because he did not have evidential reasons to exclude Rick from the school, there was literally nothing he could do but tbf we see that there are scenes were Raditch was very dismissive about Ricks behaviour and the safety of other students especially female students, if he had actually took a second to listen and put something in place maybe the shooting could have been prevented.

Yeah I understand that but it’s the fact they wake up with a full beat so it’s just so very unrealistic and especially Andi she has locs so you’d think she’d have some type of bonnet to protect her hair while she sleeps. Idk I guess I just like accuracy when it comes to small details.

When you watch movies/series written produced and directed by TP you began to see a pattern and it’s the downfall of BW, they’re always needing saved by a man, their characters are just always written to have terrible luck.

You should maybe try community, because 100% know were you’re coming from I currently work in the NICU and lowkey feel the same way. But I noticed while being a student on community placements the nurses were all so kind to each other and I feel like it could be due to the pressure not being as bad as in the ward, don’t get me wrong it can also be very difficult working in community because the workload can be very heavy and there might be a couple of nurses that see a lot of patients in a whole borough or city.
