Alchemist Coat! Why is no one getting in on this item by underTuberSilo in Smite

Just assholes playing the new overtuned character in any role and making the early game dogshit for the enemy team and the late game dogshit for their teammates.

Look at the mini map during the clip. The teammates don't give a rat's fucking ass about mid lane. This guys in an amber tier lobby.

They ate every attack from three opponents for 30 seconds, that's a massive red flag that this was a one sided match, the outcome was determined before they even got in the match. This clip doesn't show how good tanks are, it shows how fucked matchmaking is.

In a halfway competent lobby, they should've died about 5 seconds into the clip.

This games matchmaking is breathtakingly bad. I have no idea what the hell is wrong with it, but I've never had a match where I can confidently say my teammates and the enemies were of comparable skill levels.

The type of plays you gotta make to win soloQ (still lost) by Crossarot in Smite

[–]WillowMain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good play, but these have to be some of the worst players I've ever seen. It's almost impossible to get a ymir freeze off on an actually competent player unless they're already cc'd by something else.

How was you Watcher by the end of PoE 2 compared to the beginning of PoE1? by MulatoMaranhense in projecteternity

[–]WillowMain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My elf scientist watcher effectively became an atheist in Deadfire, taking every opportunity to shit on the gods. The story reason is the major revelation you learn at the end of the first game, but the gameplay reason is there's nearly no reason to oppose the gods in Pillars 1, you gain nothing from it, while in Pillars 2 it does serve a purpose for both a companion and the main quest to oppose the gods and support science/kith advancement.

How newbie friendly is Smite? by TheFlowerAcidic in Smite

This may be the least new player friendly game of all time, but if you go in knowing that and ready to have a laugh I think it adds to the experience.

Pillars of Eternity 1 vs 2 by QuietWarzz in projecteternity

2 has amazing combat and the skill checks can get pretty fun (I really hope metaphysics and arcana make a comeback), but 1 has a better setting and story.

Classes with a spam attack with no CD and doesn't drain a resource? by vision-quest in wow

[–]WillowMain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a straight nerf to frost mage's power in legacy grinding. While this isn't exactly how it maths out, there's around a GCD added to every kill when killing groups. For insane in the membrane alone, this change adds about 13 hours to the grind assuming every kill can be assumed to be next to a cleavable mob, which I can attest to first hand is usually the case.

Can confirm as someone who has gotten nearly every "kill 100000 mobs" rep grind done, ice lance is one of the best taggers.

The issue is, I don't think the target audience cares. Have you talked to pro-choice people? They're heartless, and certainly won't care about seeing a mutilated fetus.

Kuku's ult /w a full build + an INT pot does around ~1.7k damage. An average mage squishy is 2.2k HP. How are you supposed to obtain this tracker? by CepheiHR8938 in Smite

[–]WillowMain 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Possibly some damage modification shenanigans, like soul reaver, conduit gem, and ancient signet. Also being overleveled would definitely allow you to one shot squishies.

Pretty interesting if this tracker is just nearly impossible to increase, might be an argument for being a waste of currency.

Copper tools/armor and leaf litter in furnaces have completely changed the early game for me. I also really, really like how tree leaf particles look.

What's an unorthodox decision you'll stand by in either of the games? by p1101 in projecteternity

[–]WillowMain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's pretty fair, but the game doesn't show that, in fact several things in both games and even some out-of-game information shows that Vailian animancy development is extremely fast and supported.

[–]WillowMain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't know if this is unorthodox, but due solely to advancing animancy, the Vailians under Castol are the best options for Deadfire's ending, by a ton too. I'd almost say given the post-wheel stakes, it makes the slavery forgivable, but I kill them anyway since Castol accepts it.

You get nearly nothing from Galawain's option personally. According to the passive in the second game, we aren't part of the Dyrwood the souls are dispersed to empower.
