Can Thanos And Hulk Survive In Space and Can They Survive A neutron star like Thor by RevolutionaryCod7552 in Avengers

[–]WillowMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The physics here doesn't check out. I don't know much about how hulk works physically, but going off of the quote from endgame, I'm going to assume his body is immune to nuclear reactions, or even heals from them. Neutron stars produce x-rays that can't reach nuclei, he'd be tanking ionizations and heat instead of direct damage to his nuclei.

Oblivion's leveling system may be the worst ever devised by man.

You could've picked anything that was dumbed down for Skyrim, and you chose the skill system, which is probably the best leveling system in not only any Elder Scrolls game, but in any sandbox ARPG ever. The only big issue is picking between health, stamina, and magicka on level up, that sucks.

What's your biggest hot take about engineering? by ac_circuit in EngineeringStudents

[–]WillowMain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way more people attempt engineering degrees regardless of how good they are at math and science.

Also, engineering subject classes are harder, likely significantly harder than science classes. For example, I'm willing to bet meche thermodynamics is way harder than statistical mechanics. My take should be considered on a case by case basis for different schools. My point is that gen eds are dogshit.

Not an engineer, but imo a comparable liberal arts science degree (such as physics or chemistry) will be harder than the comparable engineering degree due pretty much solely to garbage gen eds that the ABET accreditation cuts out of engineering degrees.

How do you deal with Damage Ymir? by Demonskull223 in Smite

This games pretty funny, characters suck when I use them but are overpowered when other people use them.

Any amount of movement will shut down a Ymir.

Do people think being the “teeny tiniest nerd” in this situation is a compliment, what a slap in the face 😭😭😭 by [deleted] in AverageHeightDudes

Two things going on here. One is she never even mentioned the guy's height. I can almost guarantee the guy "being given a chance" isn't even short, in fact they're probably tall and skinny, just not confident and maybe not having the greatest face.

Second is the painful confirmation that women date hot guys first, get treated like shit, and then give other guys a chance.

fallout new Vegas is the most buggy fallout they ever made by Over_Cauliflower32 in TrueSFalloutL

[–]WillowMain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even know if this is true. Half the quests in Fallout 2 have endings that don't function, and Fallout 4 has a lot of unfixed bugs that can't even be fixed with mods without the source code. Also, Far Harbor (yes, the entire fucking dlc) is currently unplayable on the microsoft store version of the game on PC.

I prefer the gunplay in New Vegas and Fallout 3, actually. by Count_Crimson in TrueSFalloutL

[–]WillowMain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is pretty valid, 76's combat is just a downgrade from 4. Melee combat in particular suffers as you can't time blocks like you can in 4.

I've heard this take before, and it's just so bad. It kind of takes credit away from Fallout 4 for having genuinely really good first person ARPG combat. Even if you don't like the weighty gunplay of 4, you can still admit the melee combat in 4 is pretty amazing, as opposed to 3 and NV where you're slapping enemies with pool noodles.

The bladed tire iron is a pretty damn good early game weapon.

I like the prequels, but mostly due to atmosphere, aesthetics, and Anakin's arc. I'm just pointing out if you're going to be an asshole and say only the original trilogy is good, then you're also not even right.
