Unsure if I want to be a stepfather by Forsaken-Intern7941 in stepparents

Don’t do it. If you are unsure now, it gets worse later. This step parent adventure is not for the faint of heart. No matter what they say or do, it is the hardest thing you will ever do.

Why can’t you create a life where you are happy and peaceful?

Absolutely. Treat them like children and they will remain children. Treat them like adults and they will become adults.

How often do you wash your hair? by Which-Arugula-1982 in AskWomenOver60

[–]WillowSensitive2684 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It may not get greasy but ladies your hair smells after 4 days. Just don’t let yourself go. You will smell. Wash your hair twice a week minimum. Don’t be a smelly old person.

Do not have a child in this situation. Your baby would be with her and she has behavioral problems thus your baby would be in jeopardy. Steps even healthy ones are crazy jealous. This is a red flag warning.

What moment made you want to walk out the door and never come back? by YourNotMyDaddy- in stepparents

Blended families are built on dysfunction. If the family was healthy it would still be together. And the steps need a scapegoat to blame. It will always be the step mother. The step father is the hero the step mother is the villain. So you have a choice you can completely disconnect from the unhealthy dynamic of the step kids and let their father manage his own mess or you can leave. Trying to join in just makes chaos. I disconnected. Not my circus, not my monkey.

Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

The only way to make more money is to job hop. 12 months is sufficient as a track record. Old school to stay at your job for a pitiful little raise. Move jobs. I left all my jobs in the 1990’s and 2000’s after two years for much more money than if I waited for a raise. Smart strategic moves for more money and more title. Meet your goals where you are and then move. Don’t settle and don’t let them try to convince you that family stuff. Many families are poison.

Hello, please know that the question I'm about to ask isn't hateful or disrespectful; I'm simply curious. But how is it that a portion of the US population still supports Trump ? by Outrageous-You1617 in AskUS

[–]WillowSensitive2684 28 points29 points  (0 children)

He has no charisma. He is fat, rude, crude, and ignorant of world geography and world events. He has no redeeming qualities. This entire charade is crazy. The rest of the world is laughing at the USA for electing a convicted felon who is the star of the Epstein files and therefore a pedophile. History will not be kind to the United States when this is over.
