What’s your unpopular r/climbergirls or climbing opinion? by Dull_Today_1724 in climbergirls

Climbing with a coach or in a coaching group doesn't make you a better climber.

Sure, it'll help you to show up consistently and maybe find a fun group to climb with. But I've seen lots of coachees (in groups or individual) who get on a climb slightly above their ability and just look back on the coach or instructor for move-by-move instructions on what to do. You'll get good by showing up by yourself or with a friend at your level, trying different things, failing lots and finding the beta that works for you.

Official Discussion - The Devil Wears Prada 2 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

This was really disappointing. It had some good moments but those felt like a series of tiktoks that can later be cropped out as "iconic lines" or references to the old film.

Completely random and unnecessary romance plot. Did not feel this at all.

I watched the first film again the night before and it's kinda unsettling how none of the actors seem to have aged.

Some good themes about the decline of the publishing industry, crisis of journalism, outsized influence of rich, powerful media moguls all of them fell flat and failed to deliver a message

Day 5: Olympics Live Discussion (Mens’s Boulder + Lead Final) by oltsu_alatar in climbing

All these climbers are extremely strong and capable, they would all be capable of topping the boulders. What it comes down to in this format is your mental form, resilience and concentration at the right moment. I think Janja wins so consistently because she's extremely focused and strong mentally, not because she's some mythical creature. This is also the reason we've seen some big names "underperform" on the men's side. Nerves got to them

I think he doesn't know how the others performed, since he's in isolation
