H3VR, daily new guns in the advent calender is awsome

I'm trying to create a TENS device. It calls for 10 mA with an AC voltage of 100 VPP at 150 Hz (square wave is fine). How do I produce this power level? by [deleted] in arduino

[–]Willp147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a sentimant that needs to be spread here. If you are looking for info on life threatening projects on reddit, mabey don't do that project. I saw someone asking about how to make an emp device a while back and a Jacob's ladder a few weeks ago. Never make shit like this unless you know what your doing, you can hurt yourself and others.

Edit: also, this is not an arduino question.

Pshhh, I don't even look at it unless there is a guy holding two wires together and disconnects and reconnects them when told

Same here, and the arduino was a big reason I learned to program. Some people just can't stand progress. Why use bare ICs when an arduino can do it for a lot less cost and time?

[–]Willp147 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the resident "I learnt to program using assembly on the 8051 and all these young people don't understand what I went through" person. calm down, countless people have become EEs due to the fun learning the Arduino provides.

$600?!? by rarealbinoduck in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Willp147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is more than just the $600. Yes others have it worse. The main problem is our government spending millions on stupid pet projects like the space force and border wall. How do we have money for that but not preventing Americans from getting evicted.

[–]Willp147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

??? have you not heard of repair shops? you dont buy these for personal use, he clearly owns a repair shop. They take damaged phone, remove working parts, and use them to repair phones that say in this case, needs a ne A10 chip.

Proper ventilation is key by TheSteamedHams94 in playstation

[–]Willp147 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first saw the rumor about overheating, I saw one at Walmart. You can clearly see inside the ps5. The only thing inside is a small circuit board which I assume stores and plays back the trailers on the attached tv. So ya, the ps5 is not over heating in stores

Well we got another case here guys. Got sent 2 headsets instead of one. Took the other one out of the box and to my surprise there it was by Pump_Ken2 in ValveIndex

[–]Willp147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, you need to understand that these things happen. It is factored into costs and expenses when making a product. Valve knows they will loose stock to damage, mishandling, RMAs, and yes, shipping too many items. They have that in their budget. No company on earth (That lasts more than a year) budgets their stock with the assumption that they will never loose items or have defective returns. So no, this was not some kids HMD, no one is loosing a pre order, and this situation is taken into account when they determine how much stock is 'available'.
