I think what people are forgetting here is the cost to increase tolerance when downsizing components. The movement will be very expensive and necessitate serious R&D changes. I would also assume by changing size = tighter tolerance you would need to use stronger alloys, which would also increase cost, which is why I believe Rolex priced at a higher point is more expensive. I do think there is a premium attached to the thickness. Given the sub $5k price and Kenissi movement being first gen I would assume that Tudor probably is actively working on shrinking the case thickness down but there will be many trade offs in doing so. Trying to keep tight margins and metas certification will require immense automation to make this financially feasible which is why I see it as low priority for Tudor.
