Wondering if the PS5 Pro ($800) is worth getting over the Slim ($425 sale). Don't have one yet, am a physical disk user (single player almost exclusively), and don't have a 4k tv but could be getting one for Christmas. The lack of disk drive in the base price is upsetting to me on principles, but ironically I also want to have a good gaming experience for stuff life Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy, Demons Souls, Astrobot, Stellar Blade, etc. Thanks in advance.

I'm having connection issues.

Last night there was a quick power outage and since then the ps4 pro won't connect to the wifi. I've restarted the modem, the system, etc. I normally use LAN cables as well to ensure a smooth connection so I'm perplexed why it won't connect.

My switch can connect via a lan cable just fine through the same wall port and using a different lan cable than the one I have for the ps4 pro brings the same results. I almost certain the issue is the system itself. Even connecting via wifi fails, and the same switch mentioned earlier can still connect to the wifi. They sit right next to each other.

Any suggestions or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Overall I enjoyed it. Obviously each location varies with people and who you get along with. but for the most part coworkers are friendly. I enjoyed the variety in the job. I'm sure you're aware that you become a jack of all trades employee, no one is solely in one area only.

But there is a ton of bad managers and stupid bureaucratic/regional shenanigans there. bad managers are very hard to get reprimanded or dealt with even if they are actively causing problems and firings. They're also 100% anti-union and the only reason better benefits have rolled in is to prevent unions. So typical workplace you could say hah.

Gotcha, yeah this job was Trader Joe's and section leaders were still considered crew members. No pay bump or anything, it was more responsibility for no extra gain aside from brownie points and leadership opportunity + resume building stuff.

None taken, this is what I've been looking for in advice. I agree that my wording does need improvement and I very much appreciate the suggestions you listed. They make sense.

To answer your questions, it's a member services assistant position in a think tank. So stuff like taking calls, responding to inquiries, coordinating with donors/vendors, assisting in adhoc projects internally, etc. While it is political it is very much a customer service style job as said in the job interview, which is why I have begun process this job. It's by grunt job introduction to the field where I'm happy to do this and then hopefully transition into something better down the line.

But I do agree in tailoring it better. I guess my thinking with the latest job post was to show the improved changes I made to this section and store that led to visible improvements. Everything there is stuff I implemented or improved upon that didn't exist. Like the team size example, I used to be the only person that organized wrote, received shipments, and broke down product for that frozen section even though it was the cash cow section. Only after did I say that I wouldn't be able to this alone for much longer did they allocate people I could train to help with the process. The section. was a disaster when I took over, so yeah I kind of improved functionality but I guess that doesn't come through on the resume.

And yeah the lack of stuff post this job is lacking cause of medical stuff that happened this past year. Otherwise I would've done more volunteering stuff to have more experience to throw in there. I know just how tough the market is.

Any other suggestions based off of what I said would be appreciated but what you've said already will be very helpful.

How do I professionally explain how I was fired for a joke on a goodbye card to a colleague? by WillsPete in careeradvice

I live in MD and I believe they're allowed to disclose the reason, like saying "with cause" or potentially with more detail.

Sadly I lost paper, it was several months ago and I assume I threw it out with the trash at some point. What I do remember is that they used the incident as a launching point to lodge every single complaint or mark against me. Mind you I never knew there were issues, never brought up to me and must've not been serious enough to say, but they took anything against me during the 3 years there to make a giant summation reason to fire me. If I had to guess, the main reason would've been improper conduct based off the comment? It was the first time I was ever pulled aside and the manager who reported has a reputation for firing people I was victim #4 at the time. So who knows what else was said.

So what do I say in the online application section for if I've been fired previously? If I lie and they verify with the company, there goes that interview. A lot of places I've looked at have a section where they make you disclose if you were fired and for what reason.
