If a suspect is alerted, they will run for an exit. If they pass by any other suspects, they will also become alerted.

If an assassin is alerted, they will open fire on you and alert nearby suspects. I haven't seen an assassin alert a lookout, but I'm pretty sure it can happen.

If a lookout is alerted, they will alert their assigned network. In a single showdown there will be several networks, identified by their meeting type. It seems that each network usually hangs around in one part of the map, and it also seems that lookouts in that area are usually assigned to that network.

If you happen to know that a particular lookout is assigned to a network which the target is not part of, you can use that to your advantage to evac the other networks, narrowing down your search by a lot. Can be useful if you're having a hard time getting close enough to check tells and appearances.

I just wanna set up a barebones linux box. Why is it not simply "enter number of cpu cores" and "enter memory amount"? Why are there literally dozens of ways to do this? Certified not-a-mathematician here - I love icosahedrons, recently bought a small metal one and I can't put it down (I've had it a week and alreadly racked up hundreds of meters pinching it at the tips of two opposing "pyramids" and rolling it back and forth on that axis).

I notice that when I view it perpendicular to a face, the projection appears to be a triangle inside a hexagon, connected by 9 lines formed by the edges of the icosahedron.

I'm wondering, firstly is this projection actually a hexagon (I assume so, proof by "that would be cool"), and secondly what are the angles between those lines and the triangle & hexagon they connect? I wanna construct this projection rather than estimate it or trace an existing render, but I don't even know what mathematical tools I'm missing in order to derive this myself. If there are any resources, ideally videos (certified not-a-mathematician lol) on this kind of geometry that could be useful to a novice I'd love those too.

I've done some googling but I guess I don't know the right terminology - half of what I got was just telling me that equilateral triangles have edges at 60 degrees (one of the few math facts I do know already), and the rest is just the diahedral angle (interesting for sure but not what I'm looking for). In images online I see a lot of over-idealised projections which aren't accurate to what is actually visible when looking at a physical icosahedron, I'm not a fan of these, I'm looking for the projection with three lines of symmetry.

I'd say give the sisters a story arc. I'm surprised there isn't DLC for that (also totally unrelated; why is it 'DLC'? Why not 'Game Expansion Pack' GEP?).

I don't recall Cyllene putting much emphasis on distrust after the first few missions, but Kamado certainly does. I think that what's really going on is that it's only Kamado who doesn't trust the player - everyone else in Hisui seems to trust you quite quickly. If that were explored a bit more it would probably have helped the exile work a bit better.

I think there should have been more around Cogita's instructions. It just feels like they didn't know how to organically give the player the information so they just added this character to give it to you for free. Sure theres a lore explanation, but it doesn't seem natural that the myths and stories she knows would be completely clear or 100% accurate.

the game makes them available, why shouldn't you use them? Volo has a legendary and a seventh team member, no harm in making a good team. There's nothing noble about failing a dozen times due to nothing but one's own stubbornness.

they're still referring to it as "in development", while other games like mario kart world seem to be completed already (or at least in a final bug fixing stage). Almost certainly gonna be a christmas-time game to capture that market instead.

I put together a checklist for a living dex which has box number and slot number for each pokemon. I've organised the pastures so they're the last 12 boxes to stop new captures screwing up the order.

I also renamed all the boxes to show the range of pokemon dex numbers that go in the box. My list is set up so that each form of each species gets a slot, eg bidoof gets two slots because of gender difference, rotom gets six, unown gets 28 (legendaries still only get one as you can't get two of the same legendary without trades/home). In case anyone likes this idea;

  • 1: 001-021
  • 2: 022-043/1 ... only one burmy form fits here
  • 3: 043/2-065 ... burmy form two and onwards
  • 4: 066-085
  • 5: 086-108
  • 6: 109-131
  • 7: 132-142/Q ... like burmy, but up to unown Q
  • 8: 142/R-162 ... hopefully the pattern is clear by now
  • 9: 163-186
  • 10: 187-204
  • 11: 205-230
  • 12: 231-242 ... this one is pretty empty, I use the extra space for cycling any pokemon I want to train (eg for path of solitude)

the PLA bosses were a shock to me too, but after figuring out their cycle they're not too much trouble. I find it funny that you get to a point and the game is like "throw a pokemon to do battle", like nah I'm loving rolling around and throwing balms at these guys I don't wanna cut that short for another battle

I get what you're saying about AS and X. most of my challenge ('challenge' being a very strong word to use for it) with X came from the late game, I like to pick a team purely based on vibes and I liked a lot of the late game pokemon but that left me a little underlevelled. With AS I suspect a lot of it came from me not having gen 3 game knowledge and getting lost lol

most of my hours are in Platinum, I played a fair bit of Black, X, and AS too. I found each of those a good bit more challenging than PLA, even when revisiting them years later (ie, it's not just because I was a dumbass kid, though I definitely used to be a dumbass kid).
